For a second I was hoping for an extra twist, that the statue was an enemy of some kind, maybe a sentient guard made by Voldemort. And if there really is a demon...let alone on that powerful. Wow.
Oh, right, something else happened this chapter too. Two more major characters are dead. I didn't expect Collins to go out like this, so points for creativity there, and you never expect the best friend to die in dog form, either. One thing Dark Lords shouldn't do is kill whoever Harry thinks is his friend at the time. Half kidding, I like Bill, he's a great character. We going to see the power Voldemot knows not?
