Pretty good update. I'll be especially looking forward to seeing it finally cross into the realm of canon. One thing I'm hoping is that we won't see too much of the owl's language. Bits like that bother me a bit, but not too much.
Lastly, I'm not sure how far you intend to take this story...if it'll span all seven years or if there will be a sequel for second year, but I'm really hoping that it won't be Harry/Ginny.
