But That Was In Another Country

The way you write each character is still just so perfect. I enjoy every sentence of this story.

Yuffie's voice is excellently written and again you infuse the silly cartoon Heartless with an incredible amount of horror. I could really see the vision through the binoculars of the totally abandoned and chaotic destruction of Kalm and it was terrifying.

As another reviewer has pointed out already Cloud's words are absolutely chilling, "I told you both. I told you all the time." Cloud's continuing madness despite his messianic foretelling of the coming of the Heartless is perfect and I can see a trajectory where it explains how he ends up working for Hades.

Yuffie's behaviour is very well-written as well, her adrenalin-filled calm that causes her to vomit into the bushs without even caring.

That final scene with the vehicle running down as it runs over a tonne of Heartless reminds me simultaneously of that pop-pop-pop in summer when the fish flies are so thick that they cover the road where I live and also of a really creepy scene in Hotel Rwanda, where it's bodies being run over. Really scary stuff and a good way to end the chapter - with suspense.
