I've always liked this chapter, for the H/L/Hr component, which of course you strengthen even more later (Luna's saying that Hermione must "know love, and later, children" always gets to me). So I liked very much the idea of the three having an intimate, non-sexual evening. Very nice.

Did you HAVE to come up with such a NAUSEOUS scheme of Voldemort's? Seriously, why did you imagine such an obnoxious spell? Surely you could have come up with something - anything! - else to move along Draco's eventual defection?

And in any case, isn't there a huge plot hole here? If I were Voldemort I would have found ten virgin couples to marry and conceive, not just rely on solely Draco.

Author's response

Voldemort doesn't have ten pure-blood sets of virgins freely willing to go through the ceremony He's lucky he had one. And sorry, but Voldemort is a very bad man, and therefore does very bad things. And I doubt if anything less would have moved this Draco.
