Constants in Motion

(#) Akito 2006-06-22

I thought the story was good, but I'm not sure you got Akito's character completely right. It's true that he's cruel and I don't think it's so far-fetched that he might have raped Yuki, but I think there was a lot more to it than that.
The anime also shows us several instances where he seems to have compassion, although its warped, on many of the Zodiac members. I think he's twisted, but I think there's also some goodness left in him--Tohru proves that at the end of the series. And even if the family was somewhat relieved when he died, because they'd finally be free from his frightening reign, I think they'd also be a little bit sad.
I liked the description of Yuki's suicide attempt. It seemed realistic the way that he did it, except I think he might have planned it out a little more. People don't usually try to kill themselves without giving it long, careful consideration.
Yuki and Kyou's interactions were cute, but I think that Kyou still might have lost his temper more often, if for no other reason than just because intimacy makes him uncomfortable.
So besides some minor problems with being a little bit out of character, I think it was a really fantastic story. It was moving, and nicely written. Good job!
