It was the middle of the night, and we were parked in front of a Holiday Inn. I woke up, and got out of my bunk. Everyone’s bunk curtains were open and and the bunks were empty. I wandered out of the bunk area, and turned the lamp on, and screamed. No one looked up.
“Such a shame, hmm?” someone said. Jeff.
“What? What’s going on?” I said. “Are they all-“ the word caught in my throat.
“Unfortunately.” He replied, stroking a girl's blonde hair. Liz's hair. "I especially regret having to do this to her," he added, indicating the Liz's body, draped across his lap. Her eyes were closed. He had always seemed to like her best.
"Don't touch her!" I shouted. A tear fell down my cheek as I looked at the empty faces of my friends, and then my boyfriend. I started bawling. I grabbed the cell phone that was sitting on the counter. Rico’s. He could never seem to remember where he put it.
“Drop it.” Jeff growled, suddenly holding a gun. Aiming the gun. At me.
“Shit no plea-“
Darkness.
