  Very good there, and sweet to see the moment that Hedwig arrived. Harry is trying, but he's been through so much, I can see him just barely functioning at times.

  You know it seems to me that he had already figured it out by the old faded poster asking for info on harry put out by the twins in diagon alley and also by hedwig deliverying the old mail that his friends nor the wiz world knew he was in prison, so why the hell didnt he tell hemrione that he had been thrown in prison and he is now out!?!

  I have thought Harry has always been a very independent person; As JKR has shown, it can be to a fault. He has been tortured and has some issues he wants o work though before bringing the people he thought had abandoned him back into his life. It will take more than a letter and an old faded poster to set that right.

  Harry Potter, the Issues poster-boy. I'm very curious about whether Hermione will respect his wishes, or use some arcane spell-combination concieved in that giant brain of hers to track at least Hedwig down. Unless Hedwig had a tracking spell on her from the start, of course.
  Harry in the books is a very private person, and that trait has apparently been enhanced by his experiences. Way to go, and I'll be here for the next chapter.

  Not a bad plot. It has a lot of potential, except for one major negative. You made Harry a total pussy. I can't even finish it.
