Writer's Block
It's late.
The only light comes from
the glowing screen of my computer
showing the same Word document
I opened five hours ago.
I write a sentence
rewrite it
reword it
rearrange it
and delete it.
I should be in bed.
But the page is still blank
and the blinking cursor mocks me.
I sigh, and prepare myself
for another sleepless night
spent battling my arch nemesis
the creature known as
Writer's Block.
It's late.
The only light comes from
the glowing screen of my computer
showing the same Word document
I opened five hours ago.
I write a sentence
rewrite it
reword it
rearrange it
and delete it.
I should be in bed.
But the page is still blank
and the blinking cursor mocks me.
I sigh, and prepare myself
for another sleepless night
spent battling my arch nemesis
the creature known as
Writer's Block.
