Whoever said 'everything in moderation' has obviously never spontaneously gone shot-for-shot with Jon Walker.

There had been discussion of who was the best drinker, and this included shots.
Evelyn had insisted that, although she didn't like to drink too much, she could do shots really quick. She also challenged she could outdrink Jon Walker.

Evelyn now eyed the 5 shots of white sambucca spread across the table nervously. The last time she did this was her 18th birthday - 3 years ago. It had ended reasonably well - no vomiting, just a headache.

Jon grinned at her over the 5 shots in front of him. Brendon sat to Evelyn's left, Spencer to
her right.
Ryan stood next to Jon, pulling his phone from his pocket to take photos of what's sure to be a memorable experience.

"You ready, Ev?" Jon taunted jokingly. She met his eyes squarely.
"You watch me floor you, Jonny boy."
"I'm going to count to three, then you grab the first shot. You have to slam the glass down on the table."
Evelyn and Jon reached for the first glass as Ryan counted.

"1....2....3...SHOOT!"

Evelyn stood triumphantly, if not a little wobbly, and watched Jon slam his fifth shotglass onto the table. She'd done it!

"Woohoo!" Evelyn cheered, slapping Brendon a high five.

"Shit girl, where you been all my life!" Jon kidded, reaching out to shake her hand.
"Right here, learning how to drink." Evelyn's voice skewed a little, making the guys laugh.
Brendon guided her back down to her seat and jumped up to order her a water.

"You fool - don't you know water makes you hurl," Evelyn raised an eyebrow and taking a sip of the water anyway.

"I'm willing to take that chance," Brendon quipped, sipping his drink as he watched the barmaid collect the 10 shotglasses.

Jon stared at Evelyn, his eyes a little glazed from the excessive alcohol consumption.
What an awesome girl! he thought. He thought of his girl back home, and forgot of Evelyn as
the urge to call Cassie swamped him.

He held up his phone, and nodded to the boys. "Be back soon, guys. Going to call the girl."
Instantly, Ryan and Spencer ripped theirs out too, muttering "Oh, shit" and followed Jon out.

"Ohhhh ditched!" Evelyn called out behind them. Ryan turned and grinned whilst still following Spencer and Jon.
"Sorry, duty calls. She'd kill me. Seriously."

"She would, you know. That Keltie's a spirited one." Brendon wiggled his eyebrows, making Evelyn
giggle.

"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah." Brendon gazed at Evelyn, and Evelyn stared back.

Their eyes locked for a moment, then Brendon's eyes dropped to Evelyn's lips.
Brendon leaned forward, and Evelyn followed his lead. Their lips met softly, testing the waters before Brendon let out a groan and pressed harder, nudging her lips open with his tongue.
