With you

by bluejackal 0 reviews

wrote this sugary, syrupy mess ages ago about someone I don't see anymore. was nice at the time though. guess it's kind of ironic now, but let me know what you think

I was right about you, I knew all along
You’re the six-minute solo in my favourite song
You’re everyone’s dream,
You’re Little Miss Right.
They don’t know I’m taking you home tonight
Watching the way your jeans fit your hips
With your perfect smile
And your bubblegum lips.

I’ve had the storm, now I want the calm
That feeling I get when you’re in my arms.
Now I’m with you
I’d never want more
Why would I go back to the dark of before?
I’ve been through enough with a mind painted black
Once was enough
And I’m not going back

While I’ve got you here I think you should know
You melted my winter and swept up my snow
Now I’m with you
It’s summer again
With warm days and hot nights that don’t have to end
I know how I sound but I still have to say
I’d give up forever
To be with you today
