There's no where near enough here to judge (hint, hint!), but this seems like a very good start. I just hope that you can avoid turning this into the sort of mess that stories featuring original characters, multiple gay relationships, relocations to the US, etc. so often are.

Well, this is definitely a different start and 'twill be quite interesting to see how matters evolve with the unique relationships involved, here. I am certain, though, that this Harry will grow up far happier and, most likely, far less predjudiced than if he'd remained in either the magical or non-magical societies in the UK.
Bravo for an attention-grabbing start.Godparents

It sucks. why the marriage licence? I know it was the eighties but what the fuck. And it will probably have a stupid pairing for Harry like Malfoy or Snape. I'm gonna pass.Godparents

Very nice. Marriage Licences might have been a bit unnecessary but what the hey, to truly fool people around them.
I think Remus/Sirius is one of the most likely pairings in the Harry Potter-verse, I mean do you _ever_ hear about Sirius having someone in his life? Or Remus either for that matter? Only the cradle-robbing Remus/Tonks shudders
Anyway, great stuff! It all makes a lot of sense to me, and I'm really looking forward to more.Godparents

interesting beginning; and I'll stick around for a few more chapters, to see what happens next.
I do hope that you don't put Harry in a slash relationship, because that would cause me to drop this story in a heartbeat. I can certainly accept that he would be very 'gay-friendly' but that's as far as I'd be willing to go in this story.
Thanks for posting the story

I can't wait until the next installment! I really like the way this has started off. Until next time!
