I woke up my eyes burned, my throat was scratchy and my body ached. I new in the simple moment I wasn't dead. I thought to myself now I know how Pete felt. I felt my hand in someones else. I didn't know whos it was I couldn't get my eyes to open. They finally flew open and saw the same brown eyes that where staring at me earlier today, only this time I could read them there was hurt sadness and love in them.
"Lacie" Brendon said
"Water" I chocked out I looked around ther room Pete was the only other person there. I also swa Pete fly out of his chair and next to my side.
"Lacie" Pete said
"Water" I chocked out again Pete gave me some water.
"How you feeling" Pete asked Brendon was squeezing my hand tighter
"Like I wish I was dead" I said
"Not Funny" Pete said
"I wasn't trying to be" I said
"I am going to go tell everyone she is awake" Pete said
"Everyone else is here" I said
"Yeah but they wanted had to wait out in the waiting they only wanted one person in here but Brendon wasn't leaving your side" He said
I turn and looked at Brendon he had tear stains going down his face.
"Bren" I said he just looked at me and I looked back at him we stayed like for several minutes. Until he broke the silence.
"Lacie you scared the shit out of me I though I had lost you" he said
"I am sorry" I said tears started coming out of my eyes.
"Baby don't cry I think I have done enough of that for all of us" He said
"Bren"
"Lace you want to know who rainy day is" he asked
"I just figured it out" I said
"Lace you didn't do this because what I said right"
"No Bren you had nothing to do with it I wanted to quiet my thought" I said
The doctor walked in with Pete following him.
"Ms.Wentz how are you feeling" he asked
"Sore" I said
"Well thats to except your brother told me they need to leave soon so we are going to release you into his care and prescribe some anit-depression medication, I understand that there is family history of it and you aren't the first person to try this I also suggest Mr. Wentz you get someone for her to talk to we will have you out of here in a couple of hours" He said and walked out the door.
"Brendon came you give me a couple of minutes alone with Lacie"
"Of course Pete" he said he kissed my cheek and walked out.
"I don't even know where to start" He said
"Pete I am sorry" I said
"Lacie why"
"I was trying to quiet my head" I said
"Go figure" he said
I looked at him and the realized why he had said that.
"Promise next time you talk to me and not do something so stupid"
"I promise Pete"
"I hope you know you I think you scared the shit more out of Brendon than you did me he found you. Lacie that boy is also head over heels in love with you"
"Pete I can't, I can't get hurt again" I said
"Lacie Gerard was to old it would have never have worked and you and Patrick rushed into it too quick and well Luke he was just never mind don't even get me started on that guy take things slow with Brendon but give him a chance." Pete said
"Pete I can't" I said
"As much as I hate the idea of my little sister dating anyone I think you too fit and I know it was him you where talking about earlier what happen to make you flip out so bad"
"When he was up stage his eyes met mine and everthing and everyone disappear and it was like he was singing a love song to me" I said
"I am going to go get him I know hes out there pacing waiting to come back to you tell him Lacie"
Pete left the room. I was sitting there all alone but this time I was okay being all alone.
Brendon walked through the door and came over and took my hand.
"Hey" he said
"Hey" I said
"Lacie I want to be with you but I am going to give sometime and you tell me when you are ready" He said
I leaned up and kissed his soft lips, when it happened again the world stopped and we where the only two people except for some soft music.
Brendon pulled away, smiled sweetly at me causing my heart to flutter and my stomach to get all knotted and thats when I realized thats what love feels like.
"Lacie take some time I am not going anywhere" He said
"I will Bren"
Pete walked in. A saw us looking at each smiling.
"Hello brother in the room" he said
"Shut up Pete" I said
"And she back" he said
Brendon and I both laughed.
"I wanted to ask if it was okay if everyone came in to see you" Pete asked
I nodded my head Brendon got up to leave but I grabbed his arm.
"Stay" I said
"Of course" he said
"I'll go tell them they can come" Pete said
Everyone came in one at time hugged me and told me they loved me. A nurse can in.
"Ms.Wentz we are going to unhook and will be free to go. Remember to drink alot of fluids. " she said
They got me unhooked and put me in a wheelchair and wheeled me down to car. Brendon was by myside all the whole time. We got back to the buses.
"Lacie I'll see you when we get there" Brendon said and kissed my cheek.
"Okay" I said and climbed on the bus with my brother.
"Lacie why don't you go rest and if you want to you can sleep with me tonight" he said Iwent an climbed into Petes bunk and fell fast asleep.
