  I'm not quite sure what is that got me into this but it's quite addictive. I think Gerard could be her father but maybe not the drunken guy... maybe she just assumes he is her father but he's not and it really is Gerard (that doesn't make much sense but you get my point?)

  Hmmm I got an idea,Okay so gerard is her Father right.But he couldn't keep her,since he and his family were really poor back then,but he gave her to his aunt and uncle.SO they could look after her.
  So she thinks her aunt and uncle are her 'mother and father'.But in reality Gerard is her real father.And her mother got shot in her school.

  ok. maybe Gerards dad was being a really bad husband and slept with her mother but then stopped after a while and the mother didnt want her husband to know she had slept with another man b/c maybe her husband couldnt make babies so thats why and now Donna is realizing the resemblance and she's curious..
  
  i have to tell u, i have read sooo many stories where gerard has a teenage kid!
