Emma watched and listened as Brendon started to sing this new song, and knew immediately that it was for her.

Emma felt tears form in her eyes. She looked over at Vicky, who just nodded at her. Emma turned around and made her way to the back of the building to the room that she’d used as her dressing room so that she could talk to Vicky.
“Ok, now tell me what happened.”
“She kissed him Em. She surprised him by showing up at the hotel room. He had no idea she was there, and she kissed him before he knew what was going on. He broke it quickly and told her to leave and everything, but you must not have seen that part. He cares about you a lot Emma, and if that song doesn’t prove it, I don’t know what does.”
Emma looked at Vicky, and then went over to sit on the couch that was in the room. Keltie kissed Ryan, not the other way around. That’s what he’d been trying to tell her that night, and probably ever since.
“Oh Vicks, what have I done?”
Vicky went over to sit on the couch with Emma and put an arm around her. “I don’t think it’s too late Emma. I mean, he’s still trying to talk to you, and now after that song..”
Emma’s head shot up, and then she jumped off the couch and ran out the door. She made her way back to the stage, and realized she’d gotten there just in time when she heard Brendon say goodnight to the crowd. She stayed towards the back and waited for the guys to come back. When she saw Ryan, she grabbed him and pulled him aside.
“Emma? What are you doing.”
“Ryan, that song…”
He took her hand in his. “It was for you. I hope you know that.”
She nodded. “I do.” She paused. “I know the truth Ry. I know what happened that night.”
He scrunched his eyebrows together. “You do? But how? You wouldn’t let me tell you.”
“I know, and I was an idiot. Vicky heard you talking about it tonight with Spencer, and then she made me come and listen to the song. Then she told me.” She looked up into his eyes. “I am so sorry Ryan.” Tears started to form in her eyes. “I should have listened to you, I should have believed you. I should have had more trust in you.”
Ryan pulled her to him and stroked her hair. “No baby, I understand. If the situation were reversed, I don’t know that I wouldn’t have reacted the same way if I saw you kissing another guy.” He looked down at her. “Just, please promise me that in the future, we talk about things before we jump to conclusions.”
She just nodded and leaned up to kiss him. He responded just the way she expected him too. Like a guy who hadn’t kissed his girl in a while. When they parted she leaned back to look at him.
“So, that song…”
He raised an eyebrow. “Yeah?”
“Well, you know. The lyrics go ‘when the moon fell in love with the sun.’”
Ryan nodded, looking thoughtful. “They do don’t they.” He smiled down at her. “I guess that means I love you.”
Emma smiled up at him. “Hmm, I guess that would mean that I love you too then.”
He smiled back down at her and lowered his head to hers once more.
“Would you guys quit making out and get on someone’s bus? We have to get going.”
Ryan and Emma both looked over to see almost everyone watching them. Emma started to blush and looked up at Ryan who was laughing.
“Well, what do you say huh? Your bus or mine?”
“It doesn’t matter, as long as we’re together.”
He smiled at her and took her hand, and they walked off towards the buses, together.
