There are times when the words I’m sorry don’t suffice.
There are times when Things hurt too much to just let them go.
There are times when you scream because you can’t do anything else.
And there are times when others have to help you get to your feet again.

True strength lies in knowing and acknowledging those times.
Truer strength lies in being able to ask for help.
Truest strength lies in knowing when to let yourself drown.
Because drowning…
Well…

Drowning- it isn’t always a bad thing.

Sasuke squirmed under the crushing pressure of Naruto above him.

Naruto didn’t let go. Hands to shoulders, weight evenly distributed across hips, keeping them both to the ground, red eyes met red eyes and few words were spoken.

“I won’t let you leave.”

Sasuke doesn’t grace this with an answer, and he looks away, looking for a way out of Naruto’s hold. Naruto slams his head back against a rock and Sasuke sees stars.

“You’re in over your head, Sasuke! Let me help you! Orochimaru is NOT the only way!”

With Sasuke’s continued silence, tears fall, and Sasuke jerks his head to see that moron crying over him.

“What the…” Sasuke murmured, but Naruto lifted a hand to wipe tears away and Sasuke isn’t even trying to get away, not now.

“You dumbass! I Lo- We need you!” Sasuke’s hands fist in Naruto’s shirt and he flips them but doesn’t let go.

“What were you going to say?!” Sasuke demands, his red eyes whirling slower until they return to their deep brown, and Naruto swallows hard.

I love you.

Sasuke’s eyes burn into Naruto’s waiting for the answer, and Naruto’s head turns from them.

“I love you.” It’s choked, and it’s a whisper, but it’s there none-the-less. And Sasuke’s tears fall on the back of his hands, onto Naruto’s shirt as he slumps over the blonde, his body shaking with sobs.

“It’s too strong…” he manages to say. “Orochimaru, the power… I can’t… I’m not strong enough… I-I need…”

Naruto’s arms wrap around him tightly.

“I’ll help you.”

I’ll be there for you.

And Sasuke stays.

A/N: A labour of love, only ten minutes long. Choosing the title for this was hard. You can take this as friendship if you like- it was meant to be ambiguous. I tell my friends I love them all the time, and a lot of my guy friends do the same.
