Xigbar had waited paitently for Demyx to cry himself to sleep before leaving to search for the redhead he wanted to pound into the ground. He searched everywhere untill he finally came to one of the labs. He listened for voiced and sure enough he heard them. One was Zexion. The other was Saix. Then there was a third voice....Axel's. Xigbar gritted his teeth in anger. He controled his searing anger and listened.

"That bitch was so easy to suduce!" Axel laughed. "Man, and he wasn't even good! Got it memorized?" Xigbar was practically shaking with anger at this point. He couldn't stand it anymore. He dissapeared and repeared right infront of Axel, scarring the living shit out of him.

"Easy, huh?" He growled. He didn't know why he was reacting like this but he let it happen. Axel regained himself after being startled by the Free Shooter.

"Yeah," He grined evilly. "That's what I said." Xigbar growled. He dissapeared and then reapeared behind Axel.

"If I were you," He said through gritted teeth. "I wouldn't have said that." Xigbar punched Axel across the cheek sending him flying across the room. He took a step towards the redhead when Saix and Zexion stepped in.

"That's enough!" Saix said coolly.Xigbar's one eye glared at the blue haired man. He desided it wasn't worth his energy. He'd get Axel soon enough. He summoned a portal and was gone.

Demyx woke from his sleepless slumber to find Xigbar sitting rigid and angry at the edge of the bed. He sat up slowly and stared at Xigbar. Why had he stayed with him? Didn't he think he was an annoyance like all the others? Xigbar turned towards Demyx and sighed in relief.

"What's up, kid?" He asked quietly. Demyx was taken aback by the concerned look in Xigbar's yellow eye.

"Um..." Demyx faught for words but all that came up were ones that would probably only make Xigbar more angry than he already was. "I don't feel so good." He mumbled. Xigbar surpressed a growl.

"I know," He said through once again gritted teeth. His fingers twitched, wanting to just pull the triger and make more red on Axel's head than there already was. Demyx's eyes widened at the anger vibrating off the older man. He automatically thought it was his falt and tried to appologize. Xigbar placed a gloved finger over Demyx's lips and shook his head. "I'm not angry at you," He said understandingly. Every time he got angry that was the automatic reaction from Demyx: an apology. "I'm angry with the one who did this to you."

"Oh..." Demyx said his eyes started to cloud at the memory of Axel's cold expresion as he left him. Tears filled his eyes again. Xigbar hugged Demyx to him. Tighter than he had before. "X-Xigbar?" He said questioningly.

"Shut up," Xigbar whispered in his ear. His breath gently carresed Demyx's ear. "We're both at the edge of insane," He laughed without humor. Demyx knew what he ment. He let the tears flow free again, staining Xigbar's coat. Xigbar held him tighter and closer. I'll never let go, he promised Demyx silently. He didn't want to let go and he knew Demyx needed him right know. He would always be there for him. Never letting go. Never leaving. Never hurting him the way that bastard Axel had. His 'feelings' for Demyx were going to stay there forever. Long after they didn't exist anymore. This is where I belong, He was sure of it know.

Never let me go, Demyx bit his lip. He didn't dare say something that might break the contact that held the warmth that he needed so badly right at that moment. Never let me go. He kept thinking that over and over again. Neither one of them let go of eachother as they sat there, balancing on the edge of insanity...
