How did Luna get Tom's diary?
I liked the way you strung it along so it was almost Ginny again.
Looking forward to moreAuthor's response

Another excellent chapter from you.
I hope Albus actually learns his lesson in this story. Obviously not right away. Maybe by the second half of second year? Or the first half of third year? I don't mind Albus-bashing, but you do it in every story that I've read so far (if there's another story you don't bash Albus in, point me to it).
I don't know that I have a favorite part of the story. Seeing Albus being showed up was fun. Pirate!Hermione was pretty funny, esp when everybody didn't react to her. The Invincible Technomage v the basilisk was good.
Dang it! Why must you write so many good scenes?Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

There are several interesting little nuances in this particular chapter.
The first is that Luna was able to resist Tom's mind arts attacks. I find myself concluding that Ginny's mind was forced open by Tom playing on her maternally-imposed obsession with Harry. Without that leverage, Tom was at a disadvantage against Luna, especially given her... er... unique mindset. Even so, the fact that she recognises that the Diary is a danger shows that she could feel Tom wearing down her resistance. A formidable foe indeed.
Secondly, I liked the flashback scenes.
It is clear that Dumbledore had no backup plan for a Harry that was not desperate to get away from his carers. What little leverage he had was swept away by the fact that Strange and Harkness had already got Harry quite far into his magical training, so he couldn't even play on Harry's curiosity. He literally could not come up with a good reason for Harry to attend Hogwarts (which is a bit back-woods in this AU).
I wonder if he will now attempt some kind of coercion. Alternately, Harry will volunteer to attend in an attempt to work out exactly what game is being played.
I wonder exactly what Harry is planning for his project? Something technomagical, of course. A magical computer? An attempted arithmantic deconstruction of the charms on a Wizarding Portrait in an attempt to create a general template for magical AIs? Whatever it is, I'm sure it will surely set the Wizarding World on its ears.
As always, this is a well-written and well-executed story that keeps the reader fully involved.

Thanks for the new chapter!
I kind of liked Harry putting Tom back in his place, in the omake :-D (I wonder who are the 500 sorcerers Harry was thinking about...)
I hope you will update soon!Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage

I enjoyed the chapter, but I don't understand why Dumbledor couldn't have simply said that Wizards and boys and Witches are girls.
After all:
In the Harry Potter verse it's impossible to be a male witch. Considering that you've taken liberties when it came to superheroes I think we should allow Rowling at least that much.
Also British society has a long and continuing tradition of having all boy and all girl schools. So having them mention both witches and wizards in the title of their school is perfectly accurate whereas "School for magic" not only goes against a tradition for alliteration in Wizard society but also be less clear in the name of the school.
Last but not least, remember that traditions were started for a reason and stopping a tradition for no good reason can be just as bad if not worse then continuing one.
It's only when a tradition is obviously bad or unproductive that we should toss them away.Harry Potter and The Invincible Technomage
