The Devil that Holds Them
0 reviewsThis poem is about an Angel, a Devil, and the world that rejected the angel without knowing who he truly was
0Unrated
The Devil that Holds Them
They wonder around, crying and afraid
Trying to hide, from the mistake they made
They hate their mistake
Yet still refuse, to rid themselves of The Devils that Hold Them
They love him so, yet hate him more
but refuse to let go, because they see no other
And what they do see they ignore
For the only seek a Beautiful Lover
But what they don't see
What could truly make them happy
The Angel in Disguise
The one with the Black Eyes
He smells of death and rotting flesh
And looks hideous with his burnt flesh
Burnt and scarred from his chaotic life
Such a tragic life, yet still he lives it
No one knows why he won't just die
But no one really cares
They never really cared
His disguise is hideous
But his soul is...beautiful
He may be hideous, but he is still an Angel
Pure of Heart, beautiful within
Searching for what we all want...perfection
But perfection in just a word
Yet so many words have caused him pain
Word are just as deadly as a sword
Both have caused him excruciating pain
Perfection. It's what the Devils push us for
When we were closer to perfection before
But they don't know it
The Devils put them down
So they don't try for better
They don't go to The Angel
They try to make one out of their Devil
But the Devils leave when the color in their eyes is gone
Because he knows when the Color and Shine are gone
They can see the truth and know what's really going on
They see beyond their Devils' lies
And see right through the Angels disguise
They see what they did with their mind games and lies
They broke his heart, and destroyed his soul
they made him hideous, beautiful no longer
Now it's too late, for the deed is done
He refuses to suffer as the loveless one
Now he is gone, he took his own life
He was sick of it all, so he took up a knife
And cut his own throat, thus ending it all
And now they miss him, because he is gone
Now that they've seen beyond his disguise
They're in love with The Angel
With the black eyes
The Devils they loved
The Angel...they Killed
They wonder around, crying and afraid
Trying to hide, from the mistake they made
