“Libby Middleton?” The teacher called from the laptop they were sitting in front of Libby looked up from the paper on her desk she’d previously been reading.
“Yes Sir” She replied quietly and went back to reading the paper on Politics, in her opinion the subjects didn’t get shitter than this. ‘Only three more days’ she thought to herself.
“So yeah apparently you lied about being pregnant” Libby looked down and sighed.
“Wow beats me, I was never pregnant in the face place, and what’s she going to come up with next hey?”A few months ago Libby had come out to her friends about being a pathological liar, it’s not something she could help it’s how she’d grown up and no one seemed to understand her now she’d stopped now but the torture didn’t end her ‘friend’ Paige now got so bored she decided to make up lies and claim that Libby had said them to upset her and hurt her, apparently being pregnant was the latest pile of shit she’d heard.
“Mm” her friend Laura mumbled and Libby grunted in reply.
“And you believe her?” Laura said nothing “I thought so, I can’t wait to get out of her and away from you guys I really can’t”
“Maybe if you weren’t such a goddamn liar you we’d trust you”
“You know what? I thought friends were supposed to trust each other and believe each other, but fuck you, fuck every single one of you I hate you!” Libby almost spitted and then left the classroom and ran into the toilets opposite locking herself into a cubical and sitting down. After five minutes she unlocked the door and wet her hands under the taps and then spread the water over her face looking at her reflection in the mirror she sighed heavily. Her hair black hair went past her shoulders and hung in two pig tails on either side and her eyeliner had thankfully not smudged along with her mascara, the uniform she’d always hated it was a black skirt just above her knees, a white blouse and blue and purple tie it didn’t suit her at all but she was glad to be getting out of it in a couple of months, she sighed again slightly and her phone vibrated in a small pocket in her skirt she took it out and opened the message.
Josh – Hey, are you okay?
She smiled slightly, Josh was the only one that really stood beside her now and he’d obviously seen her leave the classroom.
Libby – Yeah I’m okay just needed to get out of there, don’t worry I’m going to go home but I guess I’ll see you before I go on holiday xo
Josh – Okay, Yeah sure see you soon xo
Libby grabbed her bag and went down to the office lying she told them she’d been having stomach aches all day and she was soon sent home back to her mum, her dad was at work.
“Hey sweetie, are you okay?” Her mum pulled her in for a hug
“Yeah I guess, I’m not really sick mum I just needed to get away from there”
“Giving you grief again?”
“Yeah, you could say that” she pulled away from her mums grasp.
“What is it this time?” She watched her mum walk over and starting to stir something in the cooking pot.
“Paige has just been saying things that aren’t true, like that I’ve been back stabbing” She lied.
“aha” she nodded “Just ignore them, we’re going away for a holiday soon and you’ll get a break” a few moments later Libby headed upstairs into her room and laid down on her bed she closed her eyes thinking about everything and then nothing and soon drifted off to sleep.
“Libby...Lib...Libby” Her mum shook her and her eyes fluttered open she’d been out since yesterday and now it must have been early Thursday morning “are you going in today? I won’t make you” Libby shook her head.
“I don’t want too”
“then don’t, go back to sleep sorry for disturbing you” Her mum walked out off the door
“It’s okay” Libby mumbled having not opened her eyes in the slightest and then rolled onto her side, half an hour later she got up getting washed and changed she left a note and walked down to the shops when she walking along she bumped into an old friend Maria, she hadn’t been the best of friends to her lately but they had been best friends once and slowly they were building their friendship back up.
“Hey” Maria smiled and sat in front of Libby.
“Hey, why aren’t you at school?”
“Didn’t want to go in, you?” Maria asked her
“Stuff with Paige and Laura getting to me, didn’t want to go apparently I was pregnant and lied” Libby rolled her eyes and Maria raised an eyebrow
“Wow that’s a new one, I was pregnant to once I had an abortion apparently, she’s a complete liar”
“she did it to you too?”
“Yeah, didn’t you know? She lied about her parents abusing her, raping her urmm she was pregnant once, it’s all for attention she has to get her way all the time she’s a complete physco seriously” Libby’s face looked disgusted
“That’s sick, shit really? I mean I’ve got a lying disorder and I wouldn’t say something like that, that’s fucking wrong, she is wrong” Maria nodded
“Yeah she is, so don’t let her get to you she does it for attention that’s all, everyone has worship her and no one else” Maria stated
“Your right and I won’t”
“Good” they both smiled at each other.
“Are you going to go in tomorrow or not?” Maria asked taking a sip of her coke
“I don’t think so I have to pack for Italy so I guess not”
“Fair enough, but have a good time, okay? And forget all the shit here, i know we haven’t been such good friends lately but it’s behind us now, right?”
“Yeah it is and thanks” Libby smiled
“It’s okay” Maria smiled
“I better get going but I’ll see you soon” the both said the ir goodbyes and Libby made her way home thinking about what would be awaiting for her in Italy.
