I said ‘wish me good luck’, but you had already made sure I would suceed.
I said ‘call me’, but you were already standing outside my door.
I said ‘convince me’, but you already had me following you.
I said ‘daze me’, but you had already made me sway.
I said ‘help me’, but you had already grasped my hand.
I said ‘look at me’, but you were already staring deep into my eyes.
I said ‘hold me’, but you had already caught me up in a smothering hug.
I said ‘kiss me’, but your lips were already on mine.
I said ‘touch me’, but you were already ravaging me.
I said ‘save me’, but you had already placed your life into my hands.
I said ‘love me’, but you had already slipped the ring on my finger.
I said ‘leave me’, but you were already out of my sight.
I asked “Do you want to…?” and you didn’t know what to say.
I said ‘kill me’, but the knife was already pressed against my throat.
I said ‘stop’, but you didn’t.
