I asked her to join me for lunch,
And she said great.
It was short but fulfilling,
Watching her face while we ate.
I watched as she talked,
Of her life and troubles.
I laughed when she laughed,
Sound like a child's bubbles.
But when I sent text messages
just saying "hi, hello",
She replies a day late,
Without a sorry or so.
Is she too busy?
Did I message her too late?
Did I say something wrong?
Is this a continued fate?
When I call her up and hear
her sweet voice on the other line,
I don't have the courage to ask why,
Just think "everything's fine."
I can't tell if she is really
Someone I should chase.
Have I fallen out of love,
or just don't want to keep pace?
And she said great.
It was short but fulfilling,
Watching her face while we ate.
I watched as she talked,
Of her life and troubles.
I laughed when she laughed,
Sound like a child's bubbles.
But when I sent text messages
just saying "hi, hello",
She replies a day late,
Without a sorry or so.
Is she too busy?
Did I message her too late?
Did I say something wrong?
Is this a continued fate?
When I call her up and hear
her sweet voice on the other line,

Just think "everything's fine."
I can't tell if she is really
Someone I should chase.
Have I fallen out of love,
or just don't want to keep pace?
