  The story didn't make me want to claw my eyes out but there wasn't anything original either. Overall i liked the story.

  I get that whole 'not wanting to claw my eyes out' bit, yeah. I know that there are plenty of fics out there that make me want to do just that.
  
  The other thing is that much of it isn't supposed to be original - BHP is a send-up/parody of other fics, after all. Later chapters will start having references to specific fics, even. I do think there is the occasional original bit. At least, I've not read any other fics with the Myrtle bit, for example.
  
  And really, all I can hope for is that people like the story and don't consider it a waste of their reading time. It's fun to write, so I always hope it's fun to read.

  i like the myrtle part never saw that before,i like harrys attitude keep it going .your last 2 chapters are reversed

  I know about the chapter problem, but ficwad is not letting me move those two chapters around. I've already reported it, and am holding off on posting chapters 6 and 7 until whatever the problem is can be resolved. (As you might expect, I posted chapter 5 after chapter 4, so them appearing like that makes me wary of posting more until it's fixed.)
  
  Thanks for the comments about Myrtle. I hadn't seen it before either (though I'm sure someone somewhere has done something like it), plus it kinda wrote itself, if you know what I mean.
