  Raises eyebrow...... poodles? Shrug. Hopefully once Voldy's gone Harry and the others will be able to pick up their lives in peace. As for Snape, if he gets scragged with the other DE's he's no great loss. Is there any chance that Harry and company might discretely pass on news of other magical schools and oppourtunities to some of the other students? I wouldn't mind seeing Dumbles left with a half empty school. By the way, I think the healer was spot on about Draco, even if she was somewhat predjudiced. For some reason I could hear the theme from Apocalyspe Now as Voldy realized what happened to Nagini and wondered about the other horcruxes. As always you provided an excellent chapter DrT! Many thanks!

  Heh, poor Tommy-boy really shouldn't have neglected technomagery as a source of study (I rather suspect that the engine pulling the Hogwarts Express is an early version of such thinking, using magic to refine and improve a purely mechanical system). In any case, I quite expect events to be rather surprising for Tommy-boy and his band; I also have to wonder how well they've managed to pinpoint the safe house Tommy-boy is at in order to get their launching system in position (mind you, the techie in me wonders of their using simple launching racks like early muggle efforts or if they're using more sophisticated launcher packs like the MLRS - but that's really not germane to the story). I'm going to be really interested in seeing how well this surprise attack works and, if it does, the fallout in the aftermath as various groups with widely divergent agendas clash.
  
  BTW, Sirius only with poodlesin his animagus form? I really thought he had better taste than that. :D

  Oh, I'll ahve to agree with Teresa, if Snape gets scragged, he's not a great loss, but he's been warned and if he ignored the warning, it's on his head, no one elses. I rather think that what was done to Draco was appropriate, considering that his mind was likely already gone, anyway, after that much torture; this way you know he won't harm anyone else.

  RE: Sirius; yes, only in his animagus form. He really had to have been more affected by Azkaban than was suggested
