Ch.5-Get Over it Already!
"Nishizaki-Kun,why don't you join me for dinner tonight?"Sonao asked, moving over to where Monkey stood.
"You aren't supposed to use an ANBU's name while addressing them."The now revealed Inoue Nishizaki berated heavily."Need I report you to Raikage-Sama?"
Sonao mearly laughed, and sat down in her chair, idly fingering a bloody scalpel.
"Why,Ki-Kun!"She laughed."I didn't think you were such a prude."
Getting back up,Sonao walked up directly beside Nishizaki.
"You know,"She whispered in his ear."Your life is in my hands.I could "accidently" botch you one of these days.A simple mistake like a wrong needle could cost you your life.I wouldn't even suffer for that mistake seeing as it happens here ALL the time.No one, except Kochiro, would even suspect me of such foul play.Because few of my patients ever die.How about that, hmm?"
Nishizaki stood stock still as his mask was removed.
"Now,how about that date?"She asked,persistently.
Nishizaki's eyes slowly eased over to view Sonao's face.
"Very well then."He answered, closeing his eyes.
Really,it was worthless trying to escape Sonao. She was like a cat.Once her claws were in,she either wouldn't let go or she'd rip you to pieces.
Sonao handed Nishizaki back his mask, and smiled.
"Go on pretty boy, hide your face."She said.
Nishizaki was only too willing to oblidge.
----------------------
"Tchhhh!"Ikouze hissed.Her first coherent thought was pain."Oh!Ow!"
"Ikouze!"Risako gasped as Ikouze blearily continued to make pained faces."She's awake,Daichi-San!"
Daichi walked over to stand next to Ikouze's bed,one of his ever-present clipboards clutched in his right hand.
The young man moved his free hand into his pocked and pulled out a light. He turned it on,and flicked it over both of Ikouze's open eyes.Nodding to himself,Daichi turned to Risako.
"She'll be ready to move out in a half hour."Daichi addressed the woman, before turning to Ikouze. He offered a big, namely creepy, smile."Please do not try to remove that cast.Once your arm is healed,it will immediately fall off on it's own.Removal of the cast will cause, not only scaring, but the possibility of you bleeding to death.Understood,no?"
Ikouze groaned as she stared at nub of plaster where her hand had been before, not really able to comprehend her own thoughts threw anasthesia induced fogginess.
"Ahh-h"She replied,sluggishly.
"Good, good!"Daichi grinned, tapping his pen nervously along the metal clasp.
He silently wished to visit the BADO labs(Biohazard and Danger Outgoing Labs). The new patient sounded intense. It would bring him a nice chance to let go and be himself. The main hospital really was to CLEAN.It made him uncomfortable.
Risako noticed his hurried movements.
"Is there something troubleing you,Daichi-San?"She asked, looking affronted that the man wasn't tending to her daughter.
"No,I'm simply waiting for Kizuna-Kun to get back with that wheelchair."He answered, truthfully.
Risako merely shrugged,as the boy called Kizuna pushed in the wheelchair. The boy might as well have blended in with the wall, between his stark white hospital-wear and skin.
"Good boy,"Daichi practically gushed, now having an excuse to escape the building for the BADO Labs."Now leave the chair, and follow me."
The boy did as told, and hurried after the man.
Daichi's dark purple eyes flashed in the bright light of the halls.
"Sir,might I ask where we're going,"Kizuna panted,jogging to keep up.
Daichi looked over his shoulder and stopped, causeing Kizuna to crash into him.Putting his hands on the boy's shoulders, the older man smiled. He truely smiled, sending excited shivers down Kizuna's spine.
"We're going to the BADO Labs."Daichi explained, happy when Kizuna's shoulders began to shake.
And everyone thought he was such a "Good Boy",too!
"You m-mean-"Kizuna whispered,voice faltering.
"Yes,Kizuna-Kun!Isn't is great?"Daichi intereupted,squeazing the others' shoulders.
"I-I...Ah!"Kizuna became still.
Too still.
Daichi looked down.
Cold brown eyes gleamed up at him,as brown hair fell out of the boys' face.
Murder.
The boy wanted, simply enough,to see someone die today.Kizuna's breath quicked and his eyes widened. He had wanted into the BADO Labs for so long, and Daichi knew it.
"You really are to childish,Kizuna-Kun...."Daichi said proudly."I am glad!"
----------------------
It was late by the time Kezaku got home. He'd just barely managed to get everything into the scrolls Risako had designed. He vowed never to let her write the seals ever again. For a Chunin, her sealing skills were pretty pathetic.
Slinking into his favorite chair,Kezaku groaned.
Life was so hard now-a-days.It seemed all he ever did was work.
Sighing, the old man looked over at the kitchen table, where his daughter sat.She still stareing spacily at the cast on her arm.A glass of water sat on the table, soon being joined by two blue pills.
Ikouze looked up at her mother, noticing that she was the one to set them on the table.
"You'll take those, starting today. No complaints, please."Risako explained."They're pain killers. You're father picked them up on his way home."
Risako moved away, and began to clean the kitchen counter with a washcloth.
Taking the pills in her mouth,Ikouze took a drink of the water, and swallowed.
----------------------
Laying in bed,Ikouze looked out her window.
All she could see were the endlessly moving clouds.
Letting out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding, her eyes rolled to the side. The covers were too warm tonight. Her stomach was too empty tonight.
Thinking on all that had happened today,Ikouze wished the deva's goodnight, and reached over to turn off the bedroom light.
"-and help me keep Shou out of my things! He breaks everything...."
She smiled as she heard her cousin,Shaberi, voiceing her thoughts to buddah as the little girl did every night.
"I do not!"Shou, her youngest cousin, yelled from across the house. His high pitched wail must have been sending shivers down her parents' spines.
"Shut up!/Shut UP!!"Yukiichi, her older male cousin, and Kezaku yelled, sounding all too much like each other.
Ikouze laughed a little at that.
She was just glad to be back with her family.

(Day of Hanami Festival)
It was time for the rock to be dropped, and Risako wasn't feeling any better about it than she had the first time she thought about this.
Carefully watching her daughter out the corner of her eye,she grimaced.
"Cheer up Mom,"Yukiichi said walking in."We can finaly eat!Aw man, today's gonna ROCK!They'll have all kinds of stuff in the city!"
Yukiichi punched at fist in the air and picked up Shou from his booster seat, dancing around the kitchen with him.
"Come on little brat, let's go get ready, and leave the pissy women to themselves!"Yukiichi cooed quietly,to Shou. His smile disappeared, though, when his mother continued to wash the dishes in the sink.
Everyone, minus Shaberi and Kezaku, stood silently in the kitchen, sinking in the feeling.
Shou wiggled around to look at Risako. His tiny body looked much younger than 4 years as he stared around all around. His droopy eyes closed for a second, and then again for a second longer.
"Yuki,go get your father.Tell him I need his help outside for a moment."Risako said calmly,as though she hadn't heard a word he had said.
Despite the fact that Yukiichi,Shou, and Shaberi weren't technicaly theirs,Risako and Kezaku were reffered to as Mom and Dad.They WERE however, their Aunt and Uncle. It had been 4 years since the original parents had custody of the three helions.
Yukiichi looked over at Ikouze, who appeared nervous. He carefully watched between mother and daughter, before his eyes widened. The red shirt already falling off his shoulders seemed to sag lower a moment before he scurried off with Shou.
"They wouldn't...."Yukiichi wispered,as he neared to dojo at the back of the house. He pulled Shou closer and laughed.
Here he was,off of work, and he was still thinking too hard. The Raikage himself had said he needed a break.
"Hey,dad, mom needs you outside for a minute!"He yelled to the door of the washroom.
"Alright!"Kezaku yelled back, before lowering his voice and talking to the other occupant of the room.
Yukiichi stood uncomfortably, before setting Shou down.
A second later,Shaberi came streaking out of the room, soap suds covering her from head to toe.She shreaked as she was grabbed with a towel by Kezaku.Lifting her into the air,Kezaku motioned for Yukiichi to come forward.
"Please make sure she finishes her bath."Kezaku said, handing the little girl to his eldest.
"Yeah, sure."Yukiichi sighed boredly as he closed the washroom door behind him.
----------------------------------------
Kezaku and Risako sat stiffly on the bench behind the chicken pen.The constant banter of clucking and squaking behind them deafened by their silence.
"I don't know if I can do it."Kezaku admitted openly, folding his hands in front of himself.
"Kezaku,"Risako growled at her younger husband."I grew up in this clan, and this is the only way things can be done.It is a strict rule.I have secured a job for Ikouze in Bird Country. She will have a place to stay, and a steady income. It's mearly a punishment."
"It's not the punishment that bothers me.There are clans with much worse sentences. You know this, and I definetly know this working in the Counsil!"Kezaku cried, before calming his voice."It's the fact that she'll be traveling on her own all the way down there. She'll have to cross 5 or 6 different countries to GET to Bird Country.5 or 6,RISAKO."
"I am aware-"
"No,and that's the thing. She terrible with her studies. She almost as bad as that trashy girl Ikouze's friends with,Riko or something. You know the one?"
"Tomoe Rikami,dear...."Risako sighed, tired of her husband already.
"What I'm trying to get at,"Kezaku groaned, tired of his own rambling also."Is that what were you thinking?.....I just don't understand you,my own wife."
"Kezaku,"Risako stood, and walked over the chicken-wire fence just behind the bench."I will ask Yuki to escort her to the border between Fire Country and Kaikaku Country.I'm telling her to go directly through Kusa, also,to avoid the worse parts of Ame."
"But that's still 4 countries.Even with Yukiichi, there's still a chance..."Kezaku hung his head limply, and got up to stand near his wife."I understand. This is necessary."
Risako smiled gently, the brown hairs sticking out from her bun drifting lazily in the wind.
"What brought this change on?"She asked, staring at a small female hen strutting towards them.
"I had a talk with Hirano-San the other day,"Kezaku started off, causing Risako to frown."He told me that I,as a counsil member, had an obligation to 'either grow up or choose another clan leader to replace me'."
His wife looked outraged, but kept her thoughts to herself.
"I realise now that it's time I made that first step as a parent,"He turned his head to look Risako in the eye."I have to trust my kids.I have to trust you."
"Hey dad!"Yukiichi yelled running out of the back yard.He stopped the moment he saw his "parents" embrace each other, and smiled.Sighing, relieved,he whisped,
"I guess they aren't making her leave.Dad wouldn't act so happy if that were the case...."
The married couple looked around the chicken coop to see Yukiichi slouching towards them.
"Yes?"Kezaku asked,beaming.
"Ah,right!I'm heading out now with the brats.Everyone's ready, well except for...."Yukiichi trailed off,and looked back to the kitchen window where he could see Ikouze's darkened face peering out.
"That's okay, son."Kezaku murmured, and clapped his hands down on Yukiichi's shoulder."You go on ahead with the rugrats, your mom and I will take Ikouze down when we go."
Yukiichi face lit up.
"Alright, free food for everyone!"He yelled, running into the house. His shirt slipping even FURTHER down his shoulder.
Minutes later found the Fujiwara house quiet except for Ikouze's feet padding through her room.
Her arm was gonna be trouble, and she knew this as she stared down at what she had been planning on wearing to the festival.Knowing it would do no good to wear something as intricate as a kimono to the festival,Ikouze went over to her chest of drawers, and looked around.
Well, she could still wear the shoes she wanted to,right?
------------------------------
Not even bothering to care about the painfully flowered summer dress she was wearing,Ikouze tripped down the hall.
She'd have to get used to these new shoes.
She'd have to get used to her stinging arm.

A/N:This story is finaly coming along due to summer!Yays!!cough
Anyways, this chapter is going to be the one I start putting up Authors Note's.I'll just put the chapter/story into further perspective.
I'd like to start out by talking about Yukiichi. He's kind of like that cranky/loud older brother people just seem to not be able to care about, except maybe for the youngest brother.Kinda cliche, but he has his role to play.Muahahahahahaha!
Anyways,I'll just say something about a character when I feel like it,and then ask questions. So,wadya' think of Yukiichi?
Now that's done, and I can get onto other things.Like Ikouze finaly leaving Kumo....possibly forever at the rate she's going.Nishizaki is a bad,bad man!Maybe.Everything from here on out, should sound more Naruto-esc.I'm hoping.I've also got character profile's in the Bingo Book section for anyone who wants to look.Well,I'll leave it there for now.Baibaaaaaaai!
