I wake up in my bed in my bra and underwear. My knuckles hurt and I have no idea what went on last night. All I remember is blackening out and… Oh my God! I bit Michael. At least I remember something. I shoot up in my bed. I looked around and see Michael with his head in his hands and his elbows on his knees. He was sitting in a chair from the dining table. He was crying. “Michael?” I got up from the bed and stood at the side of it. He looked up and I gasped. He looked like shit. There were bruises on his face, dried blood on his neck, and his mouth. And I knew who did it. “I’m sorry.” I covered my mouth with my hand and started to cry. “I didn’t mean to, Michael.” I ran up to him and kneeled in front of him “I..” I was at a loss of words. “I would never do that to you on purpose.” I shook my head and kept crying. “I love you.” I kissed him lips softly. When I pulled back I could see he was scared.
“It’s okay.” He choked out. I felt so bad. I wanted to kill myself for what I did to Michael. He didn’t deserve any of what I gave him. Not even my heart. He needs someone so much better. I don’t have anything to offer him like Alicia did. She gave him everything and he was still here. Why was he still here? “I know you didn’t mean it. Any of it. You blacked out.” He tried to smile, but with the bruises on his cheeks he just ended up whimpering.
My hand went right up to cup his cheek. I had so much anger that I needed to get out and I took it out on him. “I feel like shit for what I did to you. That beating wasn’t for you.” I stroked his cheek with the pad of my thumb also wiping away his tears.
“Don’t.” He leaned into my touch and cupped my hand with his.
“Don’t what?” I was confused. Did he not want me to touch him?
“Don’t feel that way. It’s okay. I know everything.” He whispered and closed his eyes. I nodded and he smiled the best he could. We sat like this for a few minutes till I heard someone whoosh in.
“Isn’t this sweet?” I turned back and saw Angel cock his head. But he was dead, wasn’t he? “I’m not dead, if that’s what you’re thinking. Aiden just made that up. It’s a shame he has to miss on this do to your angel over there.” Angel nodded to Michael. “But now Aiden is gone and out of my way you can sign this.” Angel took out a paper that was in a roll from his long leather trench coat. I stood and looked at him. He unrolled it and placed it on my desk. He fished out a quill from his coat and held it out for me to take.
“I’m not signing that.” I shook my head.
“Phoenix, Phoenix, Phoenix.” Angel shook his head. “When will you ever learn?” He looked over at Michael who now stood tall. “Master, Alexander, Aiden, and me. Even though Aiden is gone all we need is you. We all have powers that no other vampire posses‘. Together we can take out the heavens that rain over us. We will be tripled in strength once we get out victory, and we can’t do that without you. Well, yes we can, but with you we will share the glorious victory. You will be a great general and go down in history as the greatest female vampire. Other vampires will want to be you and every male will be at you feet and kiss the floor you walk on.” Angel said very enthusiastically. “We have everyone, but you.” Angel attempted to hand me the quill to take. But his little speech didn’t shake me. I didn’t want any of that.
“No,” I said quietly.
“Just sign it, Phoenix.” Angel sighed. I just shook my head. “Once you sign this you will be restored to your rightful place.” I looked at him in confusion. “In your gold throne in the morning, on the battle field during the night, and in Master’s bedroom chambers during the day. By our side.” Angel smiled. “Master hasn’t found a single mate since you left. He has been waiting for your return. He misses you. Especially at night when he’s lonely the most.”
“No, I don’t want to be on your side. I didn’t want any of this. As much as I love Alexander I can’t sign.” I shook my head.
“You sign this and Xander will go free. I can promise you that.” Angel tried to compromise with me. I debated over it a little longer. Then I grabbed the quill and signed, but with my left hand. “That a girl.” Angel patted my back. “My queen.” Angel bowed at my feet once I finished signing.
“Set Xander free.” I demanded. Angel nodded and vanished.
“What the fuck did you do?” Michael spoke. I turned around and saw he was shocked.
“What I should have done a long time ago.” I needed to play this part right. Michael just shook his head. He walked over to me and took my hand. He wore a defeated frown and vanished. I squeezed my hand and felt something poke my palm. I opened my hand and looked down. There was my key. I was on the verge of tears when Angel returned with a tattered Alexander. His face was covered in purple bruises and fresh blood. Angel kept a good grip on his arm. Once Angel let go Xander fell to the floor. “What did you do to him?” I rushed over to his side and helped him to my bed.
“What was necessary, your highness.” Angel bowed and gone astray. I heard Xander moan and I turned to him.
“What did they do to you?” I cried and kneeled on one knee next to the bed where Xander laid. He muttered something but I didn’t quite hear what he said. “Just rest.” I said and dressed.
Two hours later Xander woke and I had thought my plan through. “Xander, I need to tell you my plan.” I sat next to him on the bed. I wore my key to give to Michael once again. He will understand. Xander nodded and sat up in the bed. “I signed the contract with my left hand making not really official. Me and you will go to war, but I need to get to heaven to tell God to have his army ready. We’re going to fake out our side.” I smiled.
“That’s a good plan. But how are we going to get into heaven?” He asked.
“Michael.” I whispered, and in no time he was in my bedroom. “Hey.” Was all I could come up with to say.
“I know. I overheard you. And I think it’s a great idea. God will be ready. When is this war going to happen?” Michael asked.
“My guess is in a week or so.” I said and looked at Michael.
“No, Satan is planning on attacking heaven tomorrow. I kinda over heard the generals conversation this morning.” Alexander piped up. Michael and me looked back at him. “At the east side gate. There is the weakest security there.” Alexander continued. “Well, that’s just what I heard.” He shrugged. I was just so happy.
“Alexander, I could just kiss you right now.” I smiled.
“I wouldn’t mind.” He smirked. I just shook my head and looked back at Michael. He just shrugged. Then I pecked Xander real quick. I giggled and Alexander turned red. I just rolled my eyes. Then I remembered my key. “This reminds me.” I took the key from my collar. “Here.” I held open the chain to Michael. “I still want you to have it.” I smiled and he laughed. He nodded and came up and kneeled in front of me on one knee. He held his head down and I placed it around his neck.
“Thank you, you majesty.” Michael joked. I just rolled my eyes, grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him in for a kiss. A long passionate kiss. Alexander just groaned in annoyance and slipped back under the covers making sure he covered his eyes.
“If you guys are going to make out make sure it’s silent.” I hadn’t realized Michael and I were making noises when we were kissing. I just broke apart and laughed.
“I think it’s time for you to go. You need to tell the Lord about what we talked about.” I said to Michael with a frown. He nodded and kissed me goodbye before vanishing.
Later that day Angel was sent for Xander and me by Master. I was welcomed back with a feast and an after party talking about war plans and the attack Xander mentioned. He was right. Satan was attacking the east gate where low security was, and once they were in they would slaughter each angel from head to toe. I was dressed in a corset gown with a long tale, just like in my dream. Master awarded me with a gold choker necklace and gold crown with sparkling gem stones. I had all of them fooled.
The next day I was awaken by my maids that bathed me in waterproof sunscreen and pushed me into my war armor. It was silver plated and I was given an ancient sword every queen before me wielded in war. I had sent Michael a telepathic note that at noon Satan will strike the east gate.
Noon approached faster than I thought. I was getting the shakes thinking about killing the innocent angels. They didn’t do anything to deserve this. But the Lord called on this war, and Satan was bringing the worst of it. He was giving heaven nothing, but was taking away everything. This was my time to call upon God and shine.
Together we marched to heavens gates and gave them a chance to surrender. No white flag angered Satan and he commanded every platoon to the east gate. I ordered my soldiers to the east gate and followed behind with Alexander by my side. I sent Michael a heads up saying to exit through the north and south gates to surround the Black Death Dealers. Vampires among demons and werewolves. All evil was headed full force to the gate.
I heard the angels come up in a rumble and take my army and others by surprise. “Now!” I had formed my own army down under. Everyone that wanted to have a happy life and live in peace was free to join. I gathered a few hundred, and so did Alexander.
My army was upfront. Smashing into the gate with little force. “Turn!” I shouted. “Unfold!” Master looked shocked. “Ground!” That was the cue to stand their ground and put up their shields. They pointed their spears and maintained the stance. “Hit!” I ordered and they plowed the demons and speared them through the heart. The first line fell. “Ground!” I shouted again. Master was too shocked to speak, but I just kept shouting orders.
Demons attempted to break our new formed gate, but we held together. I was in the mist of my platoon. In front I call upon the angels. “Angels!” I ground out. The angels flew out from the clouds with their swords and arrows killing many. Finally, Master ordered.
“Attack!” That gave free will to the demons, werewolves and vampires to do what they will.
“Ground!” I yelled. It was tough, but we maintained our ground.
After many hours of this war Satan finally surrendered and held up the white flag. Many died that day. Midnight fell upon us and we were exhausted. Satan retreated back to his hell and it took him an hour to gather their dead. Alexander and me teleported back to my apartment and stripped ourselves of our armor. We looked like loonies in it.
Waking up the next day was nothing delightful. I was covered in dry blood of others. That is gross. I jumped into the shower. When I got out Michael was laying on my bed. “Whoa!” I jumped. I had a towel wrapped around my body and was about to head to my closet to get dressed.
“Sorry.” Michael got off the bed. “I didn’t mean to scare you.” He smiled.
“No, it’s okay. I was just getting out of the shower. Let me get dressed and then we’ll talk. I walked to my closet and closed the door. I picked out a pair of purple short shorts, a lime green v-neck, and my low cut solid black Converse. When I came out Michael was sitting on the bed playing with the key. “Hey.” I smiled.
“Well, you look nice.” Michael commented.
“Thanks.” I smiled more and took a seat next to him on the bed. “So, what’s up? How’s heaven?” I asked.
“Great. God wanted me to tell you that he wants to see you.” Michael grinned. I didn’t think I was hearing right.
“God wants to see me?” I asked in disbelief. Michael nodded and picked me up bridal style. “Where we going?” I asked.
“Just hold on.” I heard a tear of fabric. I was Michael’s shirt. “We’re going to fly.” He smiled and spread his wings.
A/N: I know this is a little short, but I'm trying to get the best ending. And I'm sorry the war doesn't have the best description. I really tried. I just don't know how to write war stuff. But I think it was good for a beginner.
