Frank's point of view

I couldn't help but notice that Gerard was acting weird when I mentioned the stain. It seemed like he knew something about it. Did he? It seemed like he was afraid of it. Was he? I had no reasonable
explaination for the stain, what it was, why it kept coming back and coming back, although I'd scrubbed at it for forever. The color made me think it was blood, but how could it be? I was so confused.
Gerard seemed to know though. He looked nervous when I mentioned the stain, even though he was smiling. He looked a little scared too. I wondered what he would say if I asked him about it? I wouldn't
ask though. I didn't want him to feel weird or anything. I tossed the rag in my trash can, realizing gratefully that I hadn't gotten anything on my clothes this time. The first time I had scrubbed at
the stain, I had gotten the mystery substance all over my clothes. I was so pissed, because I had been wearing my favorite Anthrax shirt, and the stains wouldn't come out. It was ruined. That was about
the hugest fit I've ever had.

I realized that I was just kind of standing in the middle of my room reminiscing and Gerard was leaning against the doorway to my room looking awkward. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and managed a
smile. "Do you want something to eat? I'll make pizza."
He looked up at me. "Sure. I'll go find Mikey."

"Alright. I'm just gonna change my clothes, there's a bunch of dust and crap on these ones. See ya in the kitchen." I smiled and watched him turn and walk down the hall. He really was cute, even though he
was young. His eyes were a beautiful greenish hazel. I loved them. I loved the way his hair looked like he had just gotten out of bed, but it looked gorgeous. His whole look was so effortless, and it was
amazing. I was jealous. I had to spend hours doing my hair and coordinating my outfit. I'm such a girl. I shook the thought from my head and dug through my dresser. Everything in here was too big for me,
I had dropped at least 20 pounds since the last time I had gone clothes shopping. That's probably not great, but whatever. I finally pulled out a pair of black jeans that had shrunk in the wash and a
slightly baggy plain purple t-shirt. I glanced in the mirror, decided that my hair looked like shit and there was no hope for it, then opened the door and walked down the hall to the kitchen. Gerard and
Mikey were already in the joined living room, in some sort of heated discussion.

"I do not!" Gerard was screaming at him. I wondered how I missed that noise before, that guy had a good set of pipes on him.
"Do toooo!" Mikey taunted. "Gee loooooovessss Fr-" He was cut off as Gerard slammed a hand over his mouth, giving me an apologetic look from across the room. He blushed. Mikey pried his hand off, then
apparently realized that I was there. "Hey Frank!" he called. "I have a secret to tell you!" He pushed Gerard away and ran over to me, pulling on my arm. "Guesswhatguesswhatguesswhat?"
"Um, what?"
"Gerard is totally and utterly in love with you."
I paused. "Is that so?" I looked over at Gerard, who had remained where he was, blushing madly.
"No, don't believe him. He found out that you have a coffee machine in here and is practically high."
"Oh. Er, that's a relief...?" It wasn't, really. I had a little bit of a crush on Gerard since I had laid eyes on him.

An awkward silence settled over the room. I waited a moment to break it.
"Sooooo. I'm gonna make pizza, if that's okay with everyone?" I don't mean to brag, but I make a pretty kickass pizza.
"Okay," Gerard smiled, obviously supporting me in my attempt to make the atmosphere less awkward.
"Alright then, it should be done in about an hour. Entertain yourselves until then. There's a game room over there if you wanna check it out." I pointed to a far doorway.
"Eek!" Mikey shrieked and darted past me towards the door.
Gerard sighed. "I'd better make sure he doens't break anything." He walked after him, and as he passed me I stuck my arm out, catching him by the waist. I spun him to look at me. "Was Mikey right?"
"Um..."
"Tell me. Do...do you really have a crush on me?"
"I..." He paused and looked down. "Yes."
I smiled, a feeling of euphoria sweeping through me. I gently tilted his face up and pressed my lips to his own, kissing him gently. He seemed surprised and didn't move right away. A moment later though, I
felt a smile appear on his face and he kissed me back. I pulled back after a few seconds with a grin. "I like you too Gee."
His smile grew, his beautiful smile, and it only made me smile harder. He leaned up and kissed me again, and I let him.

A crash suddenly sounded from the game room, and Gerard pulled back. "Crap. MIKEY!" He ran into the room and I laughed. I turned back to the kitchen to begin making pizza.

..............................................

Throughout the next few weeks, we all became really close. Especially Gerard and I. Most nights he left Mikey alone in the guest room and slept in my bed with me, his small frame fitting perfectly into my
arms. Since we had confessed that we liked each other, any awkwardness that had been there before was absent. It was amazing. I was the happiest I'd ever been, and I was seriously considering asking if
Gerard and his brother wanted to permanently live here. I didn't want them to have to live in that house with their horrid parents, and, frankly, I loved having them here. I cooked for them all the time,
having been told that my cooking was amazing, and in return Gerard would make me brownies. That guy could make brownies like there was no tomorrow.

Currently, we were holed up in the game room. Gerard and I were having a Halo competition to see who was better. The score stood at 1/1. We had both been killed once. We were playing the final round that
would decide the champion, and I thought I was gonna win. I had just picked up that one really amazing gun that like, killed on contact, and I was running around looking for Gerard. I smirked as I saw him,
and just as I was about to shoot him, the power went out and the tv switched off. "FUCKING DAMMIT!" Gerard and I yelled simultaneously. Fuck this stupid house. Just fuck it.

"Well damn. Now we can't play. And it's pitch black down here," I pointed out the obvious. I got up and fumbled around until my hands found a flashlight hidden in a cupboard. I clicked it on and swung the
beam of light around, seeing that Mikey was currently curled up in Gerard's lap, encircled by his brother's arms. "He doesn't like the dark," Gerard explained.
"I noticed. Mm, I'll go see if I can fix it. Here." I tossed the flashlight to Gerard, who caught it, then grabbed another from the cupboard. I turned it on and walked down the hall. I thought I knew where
the circuit breaker was.

I walked down the hall into the little laundry room thing, and looked around on the walls. I was almost positive it was in here, but I didn't see it. Dammit. I guessed I'd have to check every room for it
then. I walked and searched the bathrooms, and the guest room, and the extra room where I kept my guitars, and finally came to my bedroom. I was pretty sure it wasn't in here, but I'd have to check anyway.
I looked around on all the walls, seeing nothing. I sighed and started for the door again. I frowned as the beam of light fell on an empty wall. Did I walk towards the wrong side of my room? No, the door
was supposed to be there, right by my dresser. The wall was empty. What the fuck? What was I smoking. I walked over and touched the wall. It was most definitely gone. I was starting to get freaked out,
what the hell was wrong with me? I turned, and as my flashlight lit up the floor, I saw the stain. The huge now-black stain had stretched to the center of my room and up onto the wall. I gasped. I suddenly
felt a searing pain in my head. I screamed, then blacked out.

Gerard's point of view

I heard the scream, instantly recognizing it as Frank's. I stood. "Frank?!" There was no reply. "Shit. Mikey, take the flashlight, stay here." I gave him the flashlight, and before he had time to protest I
ran off down the dark hallway. If anything was hurting Frank, I'd make sure it would pay. I turned right where his bedroom door should be, but I ran into solid wall. I groaned as a headache bloomed in my
head. Ow. I felt the wall, confused, trying to tell why there wasn't a door there. "Frank?!" I called. Once again there was no answer. I was thoroughly confused, angry, and hurting. What was going on? I
sighed in frustration. It was suddenly very quiet. Eerily quiet, I couldn't hear anything. Then, an earsplitting scream pierced the silence. I'd recognize the sound anywhere. My brother. Mikey. "Mikey!" I
screamed. I ran back down the hall, but the first step I took, I fell. I braced myself for the impact of falling to the floor, but it never came. I was just falling through blackness. A stabbing pain erupted
in my chest and I immediately blacked out.
