Ch 2: First and Second
The sun was completely up now and she sat there basking in its warmth. She was in the back of the school waiting for other students to enter the campus. Even though it didn't matter. The students at this school did not like her at all. Reasons for they thought she was horrible. She was from the recon distract and everyone believed that if you were form there you were horrible and didn't deserve to being such a nice school.
Even though she proved she belonged there many times. She was second ranked in the whole school. And all of Japan. They should have been proud to have her there. To know they'd win anything with her and the other top student. But everyone didn't seem to care about that. They cared about the first never the second. Second place is only the first loser. That’s what they thought.
But then again. Did she care? She didn't have friends here. No one liked her anyways just because of where she was from.
But then it popped into her head about him. He didn't seem to hate her. In fact she seemed to see that he enjoyed talking to her. He seemed concerned with her. He might have even cared about her. He was always seen talking to her. He didn't talk to anyone else really. He had plenty of friends but they would mostly find him talking to her at P.E and in all of there other classes. She didn't know why though. Why he talked to her and asked her questions concerning about her health. She didn't talk about she'd say a lie and walk away from him but he would always come back to her. No matter how many times she said a lie and walked off.
Maybe she liked the fact that he asked her everyday. Maybe she liked that she had small attention that involved her. Only her. Not school. Not work. But her. She felt a small piece of happiness in it. Why did she? Maybe after all of the years of neglect and pain it felt nice to hear the phrase. "hello how are you today?" she knew that everyone got a slight joy when they heard that phrase. You couldn't hide it and everyone knew it. She was good like that. She could see through a lot of people and see there ways. What they did wrong that was what she did. She saw sinners and there lies.
Then she heard the student entering the campus and she stood up watching as they entered the campus. All of them staring and muttering about what her face looked like about the rumors they heard about her. Some just looked away from her to afraid to show the fear they'd show on there faces. Trying to be nice but really there hearts filled with fear.
Then there was a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and saw him. He always said hi to her in the morning. Another retune done everyday. He was the number one student in the school. He was the center of attention. Because he was number one. He had same colored hair as her cut short and well kept unlike hers. His eyes were brown and peaceful looking. Unlike hers. They were two different colors. One eye blue and the other green holding pain within its grasp.
"Hello Solar how are you doing today?" he asked and she flung her hair more in her face to hide the bruise. He leaned forward trying to get a hold on her eyes. She looked up slightly. "i'm okay...how are you Yagami?" she whispeared him being the only person able to hear her. He smiled and laughed at little causing her to jump a little. "I told you Solar to call me Light. It seems to formal to talk like that don't you think?" he asked and she smiled slightly faking of course to not hurt the young mans feelings.
"Sorry Yag-Light...." she said and his smile brighten. "I'm fine today Solar and don't be sorry okay...how about you and me go to class together?" he asked and she looked away from his gaze. She was afraid to go with him. She was a sinner after all thats what was ingraved onto her mind. But she looked towards Light and she nodded still not wanting to hurt his feelings.
The two walked together to class. The First and the Second. Not minding that other people questioned and asked why they talkexd ot one another. Just that They were the First and Second.
