Chapter 1: Complaints
“It’s so not fair. I mean, why would he go to other women when I’m his girlfriend?” a young lady huffed to Tamaki who was listening sympathetically to her.

“What do you mean by other women?” he asked gently.

“At their school, Star Well High, they have a new hostess club instead of a host club,” she cried. Tamaki blinked before rubbing her shoulder reassuringly.

“Don’t worry. He still loves you. He probably went there because he was bored and wanted to be entertained for the afternoon. After all, don’t men deserve to be in the company of women if it’s just for socialization while we entertain only young ladies?” Haruhi said as she sat down next to them and placed a cup of tea in front of her. “He’s probably upset not being able to see you since you’re here so he went where he could have company, just someone to talk to.”

“But you haven’t seen them! They’re completely gorgeous!” she almost screamed.

"It’s okay Aya-chan. I’m sure he still loves you. Who wouldn’t love a beauty such as yourself?

"Thanks, Tamaki, but I think I’m going to go home now,” she said finishing her tea. Tamaki looked surprised but then reported to Kyoya. He told Tamaki to go back to his job but was on his cell phone afterwards. When club finally finished, Kyoya had everyone enter the limo so they could go check the club out.

At Star Well High, Aya’s boyfriend was talking over his problems with his regular hostess, Dawn.

“She always spends most of her time at the Host Club. Sometimes I wonder if she even loves me anymore,” he explained to her as she listened attentively. That was why he liked having her as his regular. She was a great listener and she always was able to comfort him.

“She does love you. I know for sure from what you’ve told me about her. I think that the reason why she sees the hosts so much is because she feels it’s the only way to have fun with other men around without feeling like she’s betraying you,” Dawn said as she smoothed out her skirt.

“You really think so?” he said as he looked at her. She gave him an honest smile and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

“I know so but I also know that you’ve been seeing us so often that she probably feels the same way you do. I suggest that you two find days where you’re available and take her out on a surprise date. Show her that you still love and care for her.”

“You think that’ll work?” Dawn gave a laugh when he asked this.

“I’m a girl. I know what I’m talking about so you can trust my advice.”

“Thanks, Dawn. Catch you later,” he said going out the door with a wave to Luna who was the hostess at the podium just for today, directing people to their regular hostesses. She usually didn’t like doing it but Kathy was sick.

“I think he’s going to be just fine,” Dawn said as she watched him leave with a smile.

“Duh!” she said popping the bubble she blew with her gum.

“You’re the lollipop and cinnamon girl, yet you chew bubblegum?” Luna gave her a look. “Yeah, yeah. I know what you’re going to say.”

“Hey, Dawn-chan,” a young girl’s voice said from behind her. She turned to see a blonde curly-haired girl with bright violet eyes about her age looking at her, “I have a favor to ask of you.”

“Okay, shoot,” Dawn said to her.

“Could you entertain my guest until I get back? I won’t be gone long. I just forgot my math book in my locker,” the girl said with a pleading look.

“You don’t need to give me ‘the look’, Mina,” Dawn said with a chuckle, “Of course I’ll do it.”

“Please let me do it!” Luna begged from her perch which consisted of her slumped over the podium.

“Sorry, Lu but Dawn already agreed,” Mina said looking at her sympathetically. She didn’t like working at the podium just as much as Luna didn’t.

“You’re the treasurer/president of this entire club. The least you can do is stand there and wait for more guests to come in considering how you know who has what guest and if we have any new customers,” Dawn said as she walked over to Mina’s table.

“Fuck,” Luna muttered to herself.

“What was that?” Dawn asked in a warning tone and Luna stuck her tongue out at Dawn.

“It amazing how she’s like puppet towards you,” Maritza said with her heavy Spanish accent. She was born in Mexico but her parents moved to Japan a few years ago after having been to the United States. Her parents liked to travel before Maritza finally wanted to settle down.

“Years of practice, Maritza, years of practice,” Dawn informed her.

“If only I could teach brother that,” she said making Luna crack up and almost fall off the podium onto the floor. They all looked up as the bell rang, Luna straightening up.

“And who the hell are you?” Luna asked sweetly the seven individuals coming through the door.
