Yeesh, as awesome as that might have been, I like Padma alive.
I think your portrayal of Parvati is actually what carried that scene. She was very sympathetic.

Great snippet, just one thing I noticed. The date is set 1st July, but her death 'was' on 24th July?Thrilling Tales of the Downright Unusual

Very moving and well done, you caught Parvati and the others quite nicely. I rather suspect that Tom's about to find out that crossing some lines unleashes forces he wouldn't believe; and he's going to find this out way too late to do him any good. I'll admit, if I was in Harry's position here, I'd be preparing to unleash unmitigated Hell on the perpetrators, too, and it would definitely be a case of "No Quarter". Heck, I might even set up a music system to play "De Guello" as I go in; 'twould be appropriate since that used to be the signal of "No Quarter".
Personally, I'm glad Padma is going to live in the main story, but this was very nicely done.Thrilling Tales of the Downright Unusual

A well written, very 'intense' chapter.Thrilling Tales of the Downright Unusual

“Someone should tell Lord Flight from Death that Dumbledore isn’t in charge anymore, and Hell is coming.”
If only someone could have said that in canon after book 5. . . .Thrilling Tales of the Downright Unusual

very glad to see that you aren't going to be using this scene in the story, but I have to agree with Dr T, I would love to have seen Harry and the rest of the Ministry Six go "Tombstone" on Voldemort and the Death Eaters!

Agreed. I may steal that line at some point. And I totally agree with DrT. Of course anything would have been better than the last two books.Thrilling Tales of the Downright Unusual

I was jsut thinking about what might have happened beyond the end of this as a powerful and confident wizard integrates the logic behind muggle technology (not just the technology itself) with magic and then puts it to work to open a "giant economy size can of whoop-ass" on Tommy and his minions. The end result would very likely be chili con carnage seasoned with finally chopped deatheater wands.
