Dinner Time!
0 reviewsWhen families get together round a table to eat the evening meal, they interact the most. I wonder if it's the same in the Jonas household.

Emma smiled as Denise placed a clean white plate infront of her, before turning back to the book that was in her hands. Frankie rushed in, slamming the kitchen door behind him, but before he could answer his mother's flood of questions as to why he had run in like that, a thump on the door, then the moan Joe produced outside explained everything.
"Mom, Joe-"
Frankie stopped, gasping for breath.
"-hit me over the head, with the-"
Another gasp,
"-blow-up hammer,"
Denise sighed, holding a pile of plates. Emma smothered a laugh with her hand, and Denise smiled towards her.
"Dear Emma, the things i have to put up with, i sometimes wish i had four lovely girls like you,"
"Oh, thankyou Mrs. J-"
"Please, call me Denise,"
Emma didn't want to call her Denise, she'd only been in the house five hours and the two of them had already bonded like mother and daughter. What had even happened to her own mom?
"Emma, would you be a darling and go fetch your Mother? She'll be in her room, third floor, second door on your left,"
And with another one of those sweet smiles, Emma went on a little adventure round the Jonas house. She followed the instructions, and found her Mom sat at a large dressing table, applying some red lipstick.
"Niiiice Mom,"
Emma said, standing behind her and twirling the thick, greyish hair around her fingers.
"Sweetheart, how're you? You like it here? Bonding with any of the boys?"
"Shut up-"
Emma laughed along with her mother, shoving her in the back.
"Denise said dinner's ready,"
"Okay honey, i'll be down soon-"
"Right-"
Emma glanced up at the door, Nick was stood there, his hands in his pockets and smiling right at her. She replied with a nod of the head, leaving her mother with a kiss on the forehead, and closed the door behind her.
"Sorry about before, i was feeling kinda ill- biology homework"
Emma laughed, and so did Nick, their faces a little close. His breath was hot against her, and it smelled like mint. Very nice. (Well duhh, it's Nick Jonas)

First Frankie sat down, followed by Nick, Kevin, Paul, her mother, and then Joe. Emma was sat at the table with her book, which she was three chapters away from completing.
"Mom-"
Frankie said as Denise served a few plates of food to the table,
"Yes darling-"
"I'm allergic to vegetables, i can't eat green stuff-"
"-Frankie,"
"Don't be silly,"
"What?"
"God created vegetables, you can't be allergic to them,"
Paul said, finishing off the flood of comments. Frankie sulked and looked down at his plate, almost all of it green.
After prayers and blessings, they began to eat.
"Mmm, this is so nice, Mom"
Joe commented, spooning a forkful of broccoli into his mouth. Paul and Kevin also commented, but Nick and Emma stayed silent. Emma's mum was deep into a conversation with Denise and Paul about the new curriculum, and Joe was flicking pieces of potato at Frankie. Frankie retaliated with a full piece of carrot, and Emma, Kevin, Joe and Frankie all laughed, quickly stopped by Nick.
"You guys probably shouldn't do that. Joe, you'll get carrot in your hair, and Frankie, your wasting all your dinner on throwing it at Joe."
The two of them sulked over their meals until everyone had finished.
"I'll clean up-"
Emma suggested, the first time she'd spoken since dinner started. Denise smiled, glanced at all four of the brothers, then back at Emma.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes,"
"Then your lucky you have four little helpers."
Hope that was okay, i'll probably write some more into it tonight if i'm not too sleepy. :)
