My Last Halloween
------------------------------------------------------------------

The darkness falls,

Childish laughter,

Free to run like crazy.

Wonder why the music stopped?

The night falls,

the wind blows.

children laughing,

getting candy, having a toothache the next day.

But I,

I'm not allowed,

no this is childish-

Halloween

A holiday

so childish yet fun.

But it is all a dream...

nothing more nothing less.

Tears come and go

as I must stop

and say goodbye

to my childhood.

Would anything

make me forget

why this is so

hard?

But

Why did

I have

to grow up?

Children laughing somewhere

near,

must say goodbye to my tears

and put a front up

to make the children happy,

Finally I see,

that truly halloween

is for everyone

Because I enjoy

Seeing the smiles on their faces.

Maybe this is not

my last halloween.
