Joe's POV
"What do mean raped?!" I couldn't believe what Cyrinda just told me.
"Remember that night you said you saw a guy running down the stairs dressed in black?"
"Yeah." I nodded my head slowly.
"That was the night he first raped me. He came by earlier when you were gone."
I stayed quiet for a moment. I began wondering who was at the door earlier today. "Wait that person at the door... Was him?"
She stayed quiet and nodded her head. I didn't notice that she was crying until she looked up at me, "When you left to the video store, he broke in! Please help me. Stay with me Joe. You mean a lot to me."
I think she got the idea that I wasn't going to marry her after this. What the hell, I still am going to marry her! I love her with all my heart. I walked to her and hugged her. I let her know that we were still going to get married and that I still love her. Then I asked "What are we gonna do about this guy?" It just pisses me off that some guy is doing this to her.
"I don't know. I wanna... I don't know!"
"Whatever desicion you come up with, I'll stand by and support you"
"Thank you Joe." She stayed quiet and spoke up "I think we should go to the police station and report this."
I suggested that we should go now.
"Let me go get ready" She turned around and began limping.
"What's wrong with your leg? You weren't like that earlier..." I was beginning to suspect that he was doing more than raping her.
"He beat me." She didn't look at me when she said that. I walked in front of her and turned on the hallway light "Let me see your face"
She shook her head and looked down. I bought it back up and inspected her face. There was one scractch mark, but it wasn't anything big. I shook my head and walked away from her.
"Hurry up. I want this guy arrested." I angrily sighed.
