We arrived at the party. Before we got to the door, Joe stopped everyone. “I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t wanna be mugged, so...” He looked at all of us one at a time.
“Believe me, no one is going to care, plus everyone is going to be way to drunk to even realize who you are.” I turned and started walking up the walkway. At that moment the door flew open and our best friend Josh came screaming out of the house. “OH MY GOD. YOU MADE IT. With fall out boy? OH MY GOD-“
”Josh, shut up, don’t do this or I will tell everyone about that one time when it was me, you, Trevon, and Anthony.” I poked him in the stomach.
“Ok, ok. But that’s Patrick Stump. My idol." He became sad, sulken.
"Josh, leave it alone, for tonight, for me?" i gave the puppy dog eyes. Everyone else had headed into the party, but you remained by the door, pretending to be conversing with someone. You kept stealing side glances at me.
"ok, fine, I'll leave it alone, but if they're here tomorrow morning I'm gonna freak, ok?" He was serious and excited, like a new puppy. I had to laugh
And then you were standing there, sipping a beer and smiling at me. Tonight was the night, my world went upside down.
