"You left me out there in the cold!" Joe's mom complained and continued to glare at him.
"You just got here!"
"Um no! I got here like 5 minutes ago."
"Are you exaggerating?"
"No! Why did you guys not answer when I first knocked?"
"We didn't hear you."
Cyrinda came out of the bedroom, tying her hair "What's going on?"
"You guys had different things in mind than answer the door to your mother?!"
"Like I said: we couldn't hear you! I'm sorry I left you out in the cold, I really am!" He apologized.
"What about her?" She pointed at Cyrinda.
"I have a name and sorry about what? What's going on?"
"Tell her Joe!"
"Did you hear the door knock?"
"No... why?"
"I'll tell you later... Mom I'm just wondering, To you just want to come by so you can be rude to her?" Joe asked crossing his arms.
"No, I wanted to celebrate Christmas with my son, but I can just forget it now!" She walked out of the house. Joe and Cyrinda looked at each other.
"Okay... can you tell me what happened now?" She asked.
"She said we left her outside. She said she was knocking on the door. Did you hear someone knocking on the door?"
"Nope. The only thing I heard, beside us, was someone slamming their car door."
He sighed and leaned up against the wall "Fuck!"
"Why don't you go over and spend Christmas with her?"
He stayed quiet and then asked"Are you coming?"
"She said she wanted to celebrate Christmas with her son, which is obviously you. Besides, We already did enough celebrating."
"I want to celebrate Christmas with you too!"
She sighed and explained "I don't want to cause another fight. Go patch things up with your mom and go celebrate Christmas with her. I won't be mad if you leave me here while you visit her, I understand."
"I don't know..." He stayed quiet.
"Just go, I'm fine!"
"Alright!" He walked to the bedroom to change. He walked out and grabbed the car keys.
He turned around and asked "Are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm sure."
He kissed her on the cheek "Love you"
"Love you too" She watched him walk out the door...

Joe walked up the door and knocked twice and waited for her to open the door. The door opened. "Hey mom"
"Where is she?" She closed the door a little bit.
He sighed "Not here"
She opened the door and cheerfully said "Come in!"
He stepped inside and watched her close the door.
"Mom, what was that all about? Please tell me why you don't like her."
"She's a whore."
"No she's not mom. Cyrinda and I are getting engaged and I hate being in the middle of your fights with her. You need to patch things up with her because I want to spend the rest of my life with her and I am not going to deal with you being mean to her. I didn't come here to argue, I'm just tired of you being so mean to her. She has never done anything bad to you!" He angrily said.
She stayed quiet. The only time he has gotten so mad at his mom was when she wouldn't let him go to the movies with his friends, but that was a long time ago.
"I love her and she loves me too, if your not going to accept that, then why do you bother talking to me?"
"I'm just afraid that if you marry her, you won't be able to visit or call me."
"I'll still visit you."
"Sure you will. "
"You were very nice to all my other girlfriends, who were all either after me for my money or just wanted their 15 minutes of fame. Why are you like this to Cyrinda? She's not that type of woman!" He threw his hands up into the air.
"And you know that how?" She asked and crossed her arms.
"I've been dating her for 3 years!" He stayed quiet and said "You should have lunch with her so you guys can get to know each other."
"Why?"
"Because I'm tired of you two bickering!"
"Fine. What day?"
"That is up to you, not me"
"Why?"
"I don't know the days you are and aren't busy!"
She walked up to him and pinched his cheeks "Whatever makes my baby happy!"
"Eh..." He grunted. He did not like it whenever she pinched his cheeks but he got used to it. Joe spent an hour at his mom's house before going back home to his finacee. Things were definitely going good!
