I like how you are not having Harry, burning bridges with people like Mione.Author's response
Thank you, I saw her as still caring very deeply for her (and Ron), but needing to make major changes in his own life.Harry Potter and The Mind

- That's a whole lost of learning in a very short time... I have to wonder if he could possibly turn the pages fast enough to cover the material in the time you outlined...Author's response
The clue to the readers was when he realized he'd finished the first book before the bathwater got cold. Yup, magical speed-reading. Compared to magic, Evelyn Wood was a piker. ;-)Harry Potter and The Mind

Why is Harry thinking the word 'gotten' and where did he get it from? 'Gotten' is not used in the UK.(Check it out on the net if you do not believe me. ) The only place he might have heard it would be on an American show on TV, and he was not permitted to watch that.Author's response
Yes, the past participle of the verb is gotten in American English. If Madame R. decides to sue me over writing this, I shall leave it in as proof that it was not meant to be a copy of her work.
