Pen knocked lightly on Frank's hotel room door before walking in. "Hey, Frank," she said in a sugary-sweet tone when she found him.

"No. Go die."

"That's horrible! Look, I'm sorry I called you Gramps and said you had a beer belly. You are very slim and don't look a day over nineteen."

"Bull shit."

Pen sighed. It was worse than trying to hold an intelligent conversation with a toddler. "I really am sorry. Please accept my apology."

"You just want to ask for something." He sat on the bed, studying her with a knowing look. "You don't like me. Why should I do anything for you?"

Bring on the lies. "I do like you, we just...got off on the wrong foot. I'd really like to try and get to know you better." she tried to smile sincerely.

"Give me a hug."

"...Huh?"

"Give me a hug to show that you really don't dislike me. I want proof."

So, biting her lip and plastering a fake smile on her face, Pen hugged Frank. She winced at the smell of cigarettes and booze that filled her nostrils.

"Okay," he said, trying not to laugh at the look on her face. He knew she didn't really want to reconcile with him; he wasn't stupid. He just figured he'd have a little fun with her before giving her what she wanted. Speaking of..."What do you want?"

"I have it on good authority that you are in the possession of eyeliner. May I borrow it?"

"Hmm...fine. Since you're the birthday girl, and all." he smirked. Pen began to roll her eyes, but stopped herself.

"Thank you," she said, somewhat bitterly. He held out the pencil, then snatched it back quickly as she reached for it. They repeated this many times before Pen cocked her hip and crossed her arms. "Frank," she said, exasperated.

"Sorry, sorry, just having a little fun, Little Red," he said, handing the pencil over, and she grabbed it before he could take it away again.

"Don't call me that. And thank you," with that, she left, thankful to be out.

"Was the mission a success?" Mikey asked when she returned to the room.

"Yes," Pen answered, brandishing the makeup like a prize. They both laughed.

By the time Pen had put on the eyeliner, borrowed Mikey's straightener and done her hair, and changed into something a little cuter, the storm had blown over, and everyone had congregated in their room once more.

"Well, Princess," Frank said once she had emerged. "It's about time."

"Frank," warned Mikey. To Pen, "So, where do you wanna go? We were thinking about taking you out to dinner and then maybe to a club or something."

"That was our idea," Frank smirked, gesturing to himself and Gerard.

"Figures." Pen said dryly. "But yeah, that sounds like fun. As long as everyone else is okay with that." She really didn't want to put everyone through the trouble if they weren't all gonna enjoy it.

"Penelope," Bob said. "Relax. It's your birthday, it's not any kind of inconvenience."

Pen turned a bit pink at his use of her full name. Usually, she got mad when people called her "Penelope", but she didn't mind it when Bob said it...

"Alright. Thanks, you guys. This means a lot." She smiled, and almost felt as though she were tearing up. Don't be a wuss, she scolded herself.

So, once they had situated a restaurant and a club to go to, the group set out for a birthday celebration. One that Pen would not soon forget.

Hey buckaroos and skippies alike. Thanks for the regrets about my dead bunny. They made me feel better, which is weird since I usually hate when people sympathize. Anyway, I barely have time for grieving between school's started, writing this, and just life in general. But I love writing this. When I'm not writing, I'm thinking of things to write, or other story ideas are swimming around in my head. It's like I'm addicted to writing. How odd. Anyway, so yeah.

I understand that this is a very short, filler-type chapter...No, actually, it is a complete filler. Ugh. Sorry. But I have Chapter 7 written as well! So I will upload that in a few minutes, later tonight, or tomorrow morning before I go to school. Sound good? Good.

Bee-tee-dubs, please, PLEASE if you like this story, RATE IT! Not the chapter, the actual story. Because now it had no rating/0, and I know that I'm hesitant to read a story if it doesn't have a rating. So yeah. PLEASE do that. Thanks honey-bunches. =]Besides that, comment/subscribe.
