Vince or Nikki?
0 reviewsAmy starts to fall for Vince...but what will happen to her affections for Nikki?
-1TrainWreck
Tommy and I continued to gaze at each other in a daze. Finally, Tommy spoke, "I'm sorry, Amy...I just had to before Nikki did." I shook myself out of my daze and tried to find my voice, "No, really, it's okay. You know, that was my first kiss ever," I replied. Tommy looked startled, "Your first kiss ever?" I nodded. Tommy's eyes widened, "You're a naturally good kisser then." I blushed and looked at the ground, not sure what to say.
The two of us continued to sit in the living room in silence. I felt that things needed to be said, but I wasn't sure what to say or do. So I sat there stupidly, waiting for Tommy to say something. Tommy touched my hand gently. I looked up at him and met his dark, chestnut-colored eyes.
"Amy, I've got to tell you something. I've fallen in love with you the last few weeks. But don't worry; I know you want Nikki. I'm not going to interfere with that, but remember, if things don't work out between you and Nikki..." Tommy trailed off without finishing his sentence. He didn't need to finish it; I already knew what he was going to say.
"I really like you too, Tommy," I started, not sure how to word what I wanted to say, "but you're right; I'm in love with Nikki. It would be unfair to get into a relationship with you when my heart is already captured by another man." Tommy nodded, "I understand completely. We'll just stay close friends?"
"Of course," I stood up and gave Tommy an awkward hug. "I've gotta get home before mom starts worrying. I'll see you soon, okay?" Tommy hugged me back and waved as I stepped out the door. A powerful gust of wind rushed up to meet me as I trudged towards my jetta. I felt as if my thoughts were swirling as fast as the wind.
I liked Tommy a lot. He would be the perfect boyfriend. He was caring, compassionate, kind, loving, and loyal. And I had to admit, he was probably much more responsible than Nikki. So why wasn't I in love with him? Why didn't I want to date him?
As I pulled out of Tommy's driveway, I came to a conclusion. Tommy was my closest friend. He was always there for me in times of trouble and he was always there to give me a hug or encouragement when I was feeling down. But try as I might, nothing was able to put out the fire in my heart that burned for Nikki. I didn't know why I was so attracted to Nikki, but that didn't matter. All that mattered was that I needed him. I needed his love more than anything else in the world. I thought back to the scene in Tommy's living room that had occurred only a half an hour ago. I remembered the way he had stroked my breast and how close we had come to kissing.
I had no idea what Nikki had wanted to tell me tomorrow, but I couldn't help but hope that it had to do with his passion for me. My desire for Nikki was starting to become unbearable. It was like an obsession that possessed my heart. Every moment I was away from him, my thoughts were filled with him. And every moment I was with him, my body burned with intense desire for him. I wanted to make love with him more than anything else in the world.
I imagined a perfect scene of what I wanted to happen tomorrow. I would enter Nikki's house and he would be sitting on the couch, waiting for me as usual. Then he would stand up and walk over to me and gently whisper in my ear, "I love you, Amy. You're different from any other girl I've ever been with. I want you and only you." And then he would take me in his arms and kiss my lips and I would kiss him back. We would start off soft and sweet and then our kisses would become more forceful and passionate. Nikki would then take me in his arms and lay me onto the bed in the other room. Then, he'd strip as our mouths moved as one. His lips would travel down my neck and onto my nipples-
I slammed down the break on my car as I almost went whizzing past my house. Ugh, sometimes I could get way too involved in useless fantasies. I didn't want to get myself too excited for tomorrow. After all, Nikki might want to talk to me about something completely different. I didn't want to be too disappointed if that was the case. A little voice in my head seemed to tell me that it was already too late for that. I sighed; tomorrow couldn't come fast enough.
I studied myself carefully in front of the mirror. I was wearing some low cut, dark jeans, and a lacy black tank top that exposed the little bit of cleavage that I had. The outfit seemed to fit me perfectly. Now I just had to do my makeup and hair.
Ring, ring, ring! Just as I was heading to the bathroom, I could hear the perpetual ringing of my phone going off. I sighed with annoyance at being interrupted and trudged down the stairs to pick up the phone, "Hello?"
"Hey Amy!" Tommy's excited voice sounded from the other side of the phone, "I have some really great news for you. Guess what?" I was confused, I had no idea what Tommy was so excited about. I prayed he wasn't going to ask me onto a date or something like that. Curiously, I responded, "What?"
"Well..." Tommy started after a long moment of suspense, "You know how I called Vince Neil last night? Well, he's coming over here this afternoon for an audition this afternoon! Want to come over?" My heart seemed to freeze and I shook my head to make sure I had heard right, "Vince Neil is going to be at your house this afternoon?" I asked with amazement.
"Yep!" Tommy agreed, "We might finally have a band, Amy! We might actually be able to release an album now or something. Who knows? Anyways, you are coming over, aren't you?" I snorted, "Geez, of course I am, Tommy. You think I'd miss an opportunity to meet Vince Neil?" I heard Tommy laugh from the other side of the phone, "Knowing you, probably not. Anyways, I'm a little busy at the moment, Ames. I'll seeya later, okay?" And with that, Tommy hung up.
I stared at the phone in my hand in complete shock. I was actually going to meet Vince Neil today! Unable to stop myself, I gave a little scream of delight and raced back upstairs to the bathroom to get ready.
After pulling my hair up in the usual ponytail, I carefully applied my makeup as quickly as I could. In my haste, I accidentally smudged eyeliner onto my cheek. Sighing, I removed it and started over again.
By the time I finally finished primping, it was an hour after Tommy's phone call. I chided myself for being so slow getting ready. Just as I was reached for the door knob, a voice called my name, "Wait a second there, young lady." I exhaled loudly and turned around to see my dad staring at me, "Um, do you need something, dad?" I asked in as nicely a voice as possible.
"No exactly," my dad answered, "but where are you going in such a hurry?" I resisted rolling my eyes; parents could be way too nosy sometimes. I pasted a fake smile on my face and answered in a calm voice, "I'm just going to Tommy's, dad. I'll bet back in a little bit, okay?" My dad observed me carefully, "You're going to Tommy's like that? You don't usually get so...um...dressed up when you go to Tommy's." My patience had reached it's limit, "Hm. Well, I've really got to be going. I'm already late. I'll see you in a bit, okay Dad?" His lips tightened into a thin line, but he didn't stop me as I slammed the door behind me and raced over to my jetta. I quickly revved up my car and sped off towards Tommy's.
A few minutes later, I arrived at the familiar house. To my surprise, four cars were already parked in the driveway so I was forced to park on the street. I wondered if Tommy was having a party or something. I raced up the driveway and pounded excitedly on the door. A voice from inside called, "Come on in, Ames! You don't have to knock; you practically live here these days." I laughed and popped inside Tommy's house. I found myself face to face with the most beautiful man who existed.
My breath caught in my throat as I stared at Vince Neil. He was all that I had remembered from the Rock Candy concert and more. He was wearing tight black pants, a belt with silver studs, and a loose tank top that exposed the muscles in his arms.
"Ahem," Tommy coughed loudly. I blinked and realized that I had been gaping at Vince. I flushed and tried to smile. Luckily, Tommy broke the awkwardness, "Vince, this is our good friend, Amy. She's not part of the band, but she's like family to us." Vince stepped forward and held out his hand, "Hey Amy. I've heard quite a bit about you from Nikki and Tom. It'll be my pleasure to get to know you better," Vince said with a dashing smile. I raised my eyes to his face. His lips were pale pink, his blonde hair was pulled back from his face with a purple headband tied around his forehead, and his sky blue eyes seemed to twinkle at me.
I reached out and shook his hand in greeting. "It'll be a pleasure to get to know you as well," I replied rather formally. Vince met my eyes and held my hand a little longer than necessary. I could feel eyes watching me and I turned around to see Mick and Nikki standing behind us in the living room.
"Oh hey guys," I raised a hand in greeting. Mick gave me a genuine smile, but Nikki's eyes seemed glued onto Vince. He had a strange expression that I hadn't seen before. I couldn't quite identify it...
"Want to come into the living room and have a drink?" Tommy asked us politely. Vince shot Tommy a blinding smile, "Sure, why not? I've been at your house for only and hour, and you've already found out my weakness." Vince laughed a magical sounding laugh and followed Tommy into the living room. Mick and Nikki followed suit. I attempted to catch Nikki's eye as he passed me, but his gaze seemed to be glued to Vince's back. I hadn't spoken to Nikki since our "almost" makeout scene yesterday afternoon. I hope he wasn't upset at me for anything. My dreamy smile disappeared and was replaced by a a frown.
"Hey, you coming, Amy?" a voice asked me questioningly. I took a few steps forward to see who had called my name. It my shock and delight, it was Vince. He held out his hand to me, "Come on, girl. Don't be shy!" I timidly took Vince's outstretched hand and smiled shyly at him.
The two of us entered the living room where Mick, Tommy, and Nikki were already seated. Vince pulled me down onto the couch next to him. It was as if my dream were finally coming true. Tommy handed Vince a beer, which he opened and slugged down in less than a few minutes. Little did I know that Vince would have a drinking problem even worse than Nikki's in the days to come.
"Vince, you want to take a look at this?" Mick stood up and handed Vince a piece of paper with writing scribbled all over it. Vince looked at Mick dubiously. From across the room, Nikki spoke for the first time, "It's the lyrics Mick and I wrote for our first single. You want to take a look at it and see what you think?"
"Sure," Vince answered in an easygoing voice as he studied the piece of paper in his hands. I looked around at my friends in confusion. Tommy had told me that Vince was only here for an audition. But everyone seemed to be acting as if Vince were already part of the band. I gave Tommy a questioningly look, "I thought Vince was here for an audition...?"
Tommy laughed, "We already did that. Vince is part of the band now." I couldn't conceal my excitement as a big smile spread across my face. Vince looked over at me and returned my smile. He lazily draped an arm over my shoulders. A shiver of excitement pulsed through me. Was Vince flirting with me? Or did he act this way with all women?
"So, what do you think?" Tommy asked when Vince had finished reading through the song lyrics. Vince looked down at the lyrics once more and then looked back up at Tommy, "Well, I think they're perfect. You two did an excellent job on this," Vince nodded at Mick and Nikki in approval.
"Thanks!" Mick said, beaming with pride. Nikki managed a stiff smile. Something was wrong with Nikki; I couldn't figure out what it was though. Hopefully it didn't have anything to do with me.
"So," Vince started, "what do you think about trying this out altogether?" He nodded at the song lyrics in his hands. Mick and Tommy stood up eagerly, "Sure! We've been waiting for this moment for ages." Nikki merely shrugged and joined the other three in the center of the room. Tommy arranged himself behind the drums, Mick strummed his guitar, and Vince read through the song lyrics once more. Nikki merely stood there with his base guitar, looking rather bored.
"Okay, you guys ready?" Tommy asked after a few minutes. Everyone nodded in agreement. I took an anticipating breath as Tommy hit the starting note on his drum. Nikki and Mick quickly joined the intro. After about 30 seconds, Vince started singing. He had a voice like nobody else. The song was absolutely perfect. I scrutinized the four band members from where I was still sprawled out on the couch. Anyone could see that Vince was a perfect match for our band. I couldn't help but compare Vince and Nikki as they stood next to each other. Vince was like an angel sent from heaven and Nikki was like an angel from hell. The two were so different, and yet my heart craved for them both. But deep inside me, I knew I would have to choose. I'd have to wait and get to know Vince more. After all, I'd only known him for an hour and I'd known Nikki for the last four years.
"You got to stick to your guns, what's right for you ain't right for everyone!" Vince sang out the last two lines of the song. I applauded enthusiastically, "That was amazing, guys!" Tommy slapped Vince on the back, "You were perfect, Vince. I'm so glad you decided to join." Vince rolled his eyes, "Aw, don't mention it." The three returned to their original seats and Tommy flicked on the TV, "Let's party, everyone!" As Tommy flicked through TV channels, Nikki stood up, "I'm gonna be going now, guys. Call me when you want to practice next?"
I frowned at Nikki; I had never seen him act this way ever before. Usually, he was the life of the party. But today...?
"Of course," Tommy looked up at Nikki from the TV guide he had been immersed in, "I wish you could stay though. Are you sure you've gotta go?" Nikki nodded, backing towards the door, "Yeah, I'm sure. Anyways, nice meeting you, Vince. See y'all." I stared at Nikki with a perplexed expression on my face. Just as he was leaving, he looked up quickly and caught my eyes. I stared into those devilish black eyes of his and tried to search for an answer. Nikki quickly broke the connection and slammed the door shut. It was as if he had taken a piece of my heart with him. I couldn't ever really be happy without Nikki around.
"What do you want to watch on TV?" Tommy asked me, tossing me the TV guide from across the room. I caught it and shrugged, "I dunno. I don't care really." After flicking though another twenty channels, Tommy finally found a TV show he wanted to watch. He might have been watching it, but I sure wasn't.
Out of the corner of my eye, I was secretly watching Vince. He slugged down another beer and after about five minutes, caught me staring at him. I quickly looked away from him, turning tomato red. Vince laughed ever so softly, tightened his grip on my shoulders, and pulled me closer to him. I snuggled against him and immediately felt a strong desire for him start to burn in my heart. I felt the warmth emanating from his body and I could smell his breath on my cheek.
Just when I didn't think I'd be able to control my longing for him another moment, the ringing out a phone sounded. Vince snatched up a small cell phone from the table, "Hey?" he asked curiously into the phone. I couldn't help but wonder who was calling him. After a brief conversation, Vince hung up with a frown on his face, "I got a call from home, I'd best be going."
"I should probably go too," I said, standing up when Vince did. Tommy looked from me to Vince with a suspicious look on his face, then said in a mock-serious voice, "Oh fine, just leave me alone with Mick here." Mick punched him lightly, "Well, we'll see you guys soon." I picked up my purse and trailed Vince out the door.
As soon as we were outside, Vince quickly turned to me, "Are you Tommy's girl?" I was taken by surprise at the bold question, "Well...no, I'm not," I replied.
"How about Mick's or Nikki's?" Vince questioned again. My mind reeled for a second before I answered, "Nope." A smile slowly spread across Vince's face, "Good then," he whispered as he stepped closer to me. I caught his light blue eyes as he wrapped his arms around my waist. Then ever so gently, he pressed his lips to mine. It was a sweet and gentle kiss. I could feel Vince's hand slide under my bra strap. I closed my eyes and kissed him back lightly. Vince stroked my body ever so lightly. Then he seemed to remember we were standing outside, and he reluctantly pulled away from me.
"What do you say to going to lunch tomorrow?" Vince asked me with a hopeful expression on his face. I caught my breath, "I'd love to!" Vince smiled, "I'll call ya then. Keep your phone nearby." I nodded and raised a hand in farewell as Vince slid into his black Porsche. Vince shot me a charming smile as he started the engine and drove away.
I stood rooted to the ground. Vince Neil, the man I had spent so many nights and days dreaming about, had actually kissed me and asked me out on a date. But why was I feeling so miserable? I was one of the luckiest girls in the world. What was wrong with me? I could feel the answer speaking to me from my heart; Nikki.
The next day, I was up bright and early, waiting for Vince's phone call. I had carried my phone around all last night and all this morning, but still no call. I was started to get an uneasy feeling. Maybe Vince had totally forgotten about me? Or perhaps he didn't really like me after all?
I sighed loudly with annoyance and slammed the phone down on the kitchen table a little harder than I had intended to. My mom stuck her head around from the pantry door, "Hey Amy, something wrong?" I merely shrugged and slumped into a chair; willing the phone to ring. My mom frowned and walked over to where I was sitting, "Amy, what's up? You've been carrying that phone around all day and now you look like you're gonna cry. Are you expecting a call or something?"
"No offense mom, but it's really none of your business," I snapped irritably. As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I regretted all of them. My mom gave me a hurt expression, "Sorry sweetie. I was just wondering what was wrong. But of course you don't have to tell me unless you want to."
"Sorry mom, I didn't mean to be so rude," I apologized sincerely. "You're right; I am expecting a call. It's just...he hasn't called yet." Mom raised an eyebrow curiously, "He?" she repeated, "Are you talking about Nick?"
"No, I'm not," I groaned. I didn't really want to think about Nikki at the moment. "I'm talking about a guy I met yesterday." My mom sat down in the chair across from me and gave me her full attention, "Where did you meet him?" I was slightly regretting telling my mom about the phone call. She was going to give me an interrogation on Vince now, no doubt.
"Well, he's the newest member of Motley Crue, you know, Nikki's band?" I explained, wincing as I said Nikki's name. My mom frowned slightly. It was obvious to see that she didn't approve of Nikki or his band.
Ring, ring, ring! Just as my mom opened her mouth to ask another question, my phone finally rung. I snatched it up from the table and answered in a hopeful tone, "Hello?"
"Hey Amy," a voice greeted me from the other side of the phone, "Sorry for not callin' earlier. I just learned this morning that I've gotta go wrap up some unfinished business with Rock Candy. So I'm afraid I'm gonna have to cancel for today."
"Oh," I replied, unable to mask the disappointment in my tone.
"Aw, don't be sad baby," Vince said in a genuinely sorry tone, "We'll do something as soon as I get back, alright? I'm only gonna be gone for three days. Besides, you can call me if you get bored."
"Really?" I asked, the disappointment slowly fading from my face. Talking to Vince on the phone would be a good way for us to get to know each other. A soft laugh sounded, "Yeah, sure. Why not? I've kinda gotta go now though. I have to pack a few more things and then we'll see if I can actually get my ass out the door." I laughed, "Okay. I have the same problem with packing too."
"Yeah, too much stuff and too little space," Vince agreed. "Anyways, I'll call you in a bit, k?"
"Okay. I'll keep the phone nearby," I replied, slightly happier. A short paused followed then Vince said, "I'm sure you will. Seeya then." I flipped the phone shut reluctantly and looked up to see my mom staring at me queerly, "So what did he say?"
"He's got some business to take care of. So he's gonna call me later," I replied. My mom shrugged, "Hm...what kind of business to attend?" I sighed exasperatedly, "Just some business with his old band. Geez, mom, you're so suspicious." Mom gave me a shrewd look, "You can never be too suspicious. That's a good lesson for you to learn. Anyways, how do you plan on spending your day? You're not just going to sit around here and wait for the phone to ring, are you?"
I thought for a moment. What I really wanted to do was visit Nikki. He had been acting so strangely yesterday. I wanted to know what was wrong with him. He hadn't invited me over, but he had told me in the past that I could drop by his house anytime I wanted. Really, there wasn't anything preventing me from going over to his house.
"I think I'm gonna drive around for a bit," I answered in a casual voice. There wasn't any need for my mom to know that I was going over to Nikki's. It would only cause her to give me another lecture.
"Well, okay," my mom replied suspiciously. "Be careful." I nodded, picked up my phone and grabbed my coat. It was rather chilly out and I was already slightly cold.
I crossed the driveway and put my keys into my shiny, black jetta. I hesitated before starting up the car. What if Nikki didn't want to see me? Or what if he was angry at me? I hoped I was just being paranoid. Well, there was only one way to find out. Without waiting another second, I revved up the engine and pulled out of the driveway.
I ignored the unsettling feeling in my stomach as I parked in Nikki's driveway. Something didn't feel quite right. I couldn't quite tell what it was though. Slowly, I got out of the car and made my way to the front door. I lightly knocked on the door, praying that Nikki would answer it. But of course, he didn't.
The uneasiness started to heighten in my stomach as I peered in the window. It was dark inside the house. I peered at my watch; it was eleven in the morning. There was a good possibility Nikki hadn't gotten up yet. Feeling like an intruder, I quietly opened the door and stepped inside. I blinked as my eyes got adjusted to the lighting. There was leftover food still on the table from the previous night and I noticed a pile of empty beer bottles in the corner of the room.
Bitting my lip cautiously, I took a step forward. Hopefully, Nikki wasn't in the middle of a hangover. That was when I noticed a small piece of something black sticking out from under the chair nearest me. Curiosity got the better of me, and I reached down and picked it up. As soon as I picked it up, I noticed that it was a lacy piece of lingerie. I shut my eyes tightly and dropped the piece of fabric. I needed to get out of here; fast.
I quickly backed towards the door. In my haste, I tripped over a beer bottle lying on the middle of the floor and toppled onto my back. Ugh, why oh why did I have to be so clumsy? I jumped to my feet, ignoring the agony that ripped through my ankle.
I heard a rustling from across the room. I froze and looked up guilty. It was only at that moment that I noticed two figures lying on the dingy, old couch across the room. Only a thin white sheet covered their bodies. To my horror, one of the figures sat up and looked over to where I was standing rooted to the ground.
I jerked out of my state of immobility and yanked on the doorknob. But it was too late; Nikki had already met my eyes. I broke the eye connection right away, not wanting Nikki to see the tears that were now silently streaming down my face.
"Nikki? Is something wrong?" a soft female voice sounded from across the room. I didn't want to see the girl Nikki was sleeping with. I shut the door as quietly as possible and ran to my car. I revved it up and drove away, without knowing where I was going. The tears spilling down my face made it nearly impossible to see. Rage, hurt, and agony tore through my body. Didn't Nikki get it? Couldn't he see how much I needed him? Apparently not. He was either oblivious to the whole thing or maybe he didn't care for me at all? The sickening thought of the Nikki and his lover lying in bed together flashed through my mind.
I reliazed then that I had parked somewhere. I wiped my eyes to clear my vision and found myself parked in front of Tommy's house. I didn't know whether it was a good time or not, but I had to see Tommy. I needed comfort from somebody. Hopefully, Tommy would understand.
I ran up to the door and knocked earnestly. A moment later the door opened and Tommy appeared with a curious expression on his face. When he saw me standing in the doorway, he smiled, "Hey Amy-" Then I looked up and he saw the black smears dripping down my cheeks and my pale cheeks.
"Oh Amy, what's wrong?" Tommy asked with a distressed look on his face. I stepped through the door and tried to speak, but wasn't able to make out any words between my sharp sobs. Tommy took a quick look at my face and then understanding dawned in his eyes, "It's Nikki isn't it?" he asked. I nodded and Tommy wrapped his arms around me. He cradled me gently in his arms until I had cried my heart out and finally had calmed down.
I peered up at him once I had regained my composure, "Tommy..." I started and then trailed off as I gazed into his eyes. He leaned towards me, without breaking eye contact until we were less than an inch apart. Without even considering what I was doing, I leaned in the rest of the way and kissed him. It wasn't a soft, sweet kiss like the one I had shared with Vince only yesterday. It was hard and rather aggressive. Tommy didn't hesitate; he kissed me back just as passionately and wrapped his arms around my waist. After a few minutes of our kissing, I felt Tommy lift me up and rest me on my back on the couch. He crawled onto the couch next to me and started fingering the straps of my tank top. Just as he started to strip off my tank, a loud ringing filled the room; my phone.
I jerked upwards into a sitting position with a start and hastily pulled my shirt down and I reached for my vibrating phone on the coffee table. Tommy rolled onto his side and stared at me nervously. I took a shuddering breath and flipped the phone open.
"Hello?" I managed to say in a flustered voice. There was a slight pause before a voice from the other side of the phone answered me, "Hey. Amy, is that you?" I took in another deep breath and replied in as normal a tone as possible, "Yeah, it's me."
"Oh," the voice on the phone answered, "This is Vince. Anyways, are you okay girl? You sound really breathless. Were you running a marathon or something?" Vince laughed lightly.
"No, no," I replied hastily, "I'm just fine. So what's up?" I snuck a sideways glance at Tommy. He was staring at me with a hunger in his dark, brown eyes. He really was quite attractive. But honestly, what the hell did I think I was doing? I couldn't just have sex with someone that I hadn't date and who I wasn't truly in love with. Even if my heart seemed to be breaking into a million pieces, and even if I longed for comfort, I had to be able to control myself. I definitely didn't want to turn into a slut, especially when things might end up working out with Vince.
"Well, I have some pretty good news," Vince replied in a cheery voice, "I've already met with Rock Candy and sorted out the rest of our business, so I won't have to stay here three days. Actually, I'm comin' home tomorrow morning. So I was wondering, want to do something tomorrow night?" My aching heart seemed to piece itself back together and I found myself instantly in a better mood, "Of course, I'd love to. What do you want to do?"
"Hm," Vince paused for a moment to think. "Well, we could do something with the Crue? I still don't know them all that well. And that Nikki doesn't seem to like me much." Vince lowered his tone and then continued, "Is he always so...I dunno...cold? He kept scowling at me the whole time at Tommy's the other day." I hesitated before answering and bit down onto my lip. I didn't really want to talk about Nikki at the moment. But I knew I should at least answer Vince's question to be polite, "Um...well, he's like that a lot of the time. We used to be friends, but he's changed a lot lately..." I trailed off, unable to go on without having my voice crack. Controlling my emotions was not one of my talents.
"Aw, Amy," Vince said in a compassionate voice, "did he ditch you or something? He seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't give an ounce of thought about anyone's emotions." I was shocked by Vince's revelation.
"Uh..." I started, "it wasn't like that exactly. It's kinda a long story. But yeah, he seems to go through a lot of girlfriends," I finished in a bitter tone. I heard a sigh from the other side of the phone, "I figured. Anyways, back to what I was originally saying. Do you want to do something with the rest of the Crue tonight? Don't worry, I'll guard you from Nikki if I need to." I could feel myself smiling; Vince was so sweet. I was such a lucky girl to be invited on a date with him. I just had to forget about Nikki and move on.
"That sounds great. What do you want to do with them though?" I questioned. I could feel eyes on my back and I shifted positions to see Tommy giving me an inquiring look. He pointed to the phone and mouthed silently, "who is it?" I mouthed, "Vince," back to him. Tommy raised an eyebrow in surprise, but kept his mouth shut.
"Maybe we could go to a movie? And then afterwards we could go to the local bar or club?" Vince suggested. "Also, the rest of the Crue could bring dates if they wanted. A night out is never complete without a bunch of girls." Vince laughed his magical laugh that made my heart flutter, "That sounds like a good plan. Want me to notify everyone about our plans for tomorrow night? I'm actually at Tommy's right now." An awkward silence fell between us and I wondered if I had said the wrong thing.
"You're at Tommy's?" Vince finally said. Oops...I shouldn't have told Vince that. I replied quickly, "Yeah, we're just friends though. I go over to his house all the time." Another short silence passed between us and I bit my lip harder. A moment later, I tasted blood in my mouth. Crap.
"Hm," Vince replied rather suspiciously. A wave of guilty washed over me. Here I was, telling Vince that Tommy and I were just friends when merely seconds ago I had almost let him strip me down. Tears started to fill my eyes; why couldn't I ever seem to do anything right? I blinked back the tears, willing myself not to breakdown right now.
"Anyways," Vince coughed, "it would be great if you could let everyone else know. Why don't I pick you up at your house tomorrow night?" The tears dissolved from my eyes, "Okay!" I agreed happily and gave Vince my address. After he had finished writing it down, he said, "Well, seeya then, Amy? I'd keep talking to you, but I've got a few things I should be doing now."
"Seeya," I replied and flicked the phone shut. Tommy was still staring at me with a rather puzzled expression on his face, "Did you say that was Vince Neil?" I nodded, not wanting to give Tommy any extra details.
"Well, what did he want?" Tommy probed, not taking my hint about not wanting to talk about Vince. "Strange he's calling you though. He could've just called me if he needed something." I looked down at the floor and felt myself blush a dark shade of pink. Tommy put a hand under my chin and forced me to look up at him, "Amy, what's going on with you and Vince? You can tell me. I'll always be here for you." Another surge of guilt washed over me. I needed to stop messing around with Tommy. It was clear that he loved me. But it was also clear in my mind that I was in love with Vince and Nikki.
"Uh..." I started, unsure of how to break the news to Tommy about me and Vince. Finally, I decided to just tell Tommy about the date Vince and I had set up for tomorrow night. "Well, Vince invited us all to go to a movie with him tomorrow night. He was hoping all the Crue could come so we could get to know each other a little bit better." I paused and then added, "He also said you can bring a date if you want." I peered up to see Tommy bit his lip and nod silently. Remorse poured over me, "Oh Tommy, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have...you know..." The tears were spilling down my face again. Gah, I just couldn't get a grip on myself.
Tommy quickly hugged me, "No, no, it's totally fine. It's pretty obvious you like Vince. Everyone could tell you two were flirting last night. We're not blind, you know." Tommy managed a faint laugh. I gave him a small half-smile, "Oh. I'm still sorry though. Is there anything I can do to make any of this up for you?"
"Nah, don't worry about it," Tommy told me, "but do be careful, okay? I trusted you with Nikki since we've been really good friends for a while. But I barely know Vince at all. He seems alright, but maybe a bit too laidback. Just be careful around him for now, okay? And don't let him do anything to you that you don't want him to do."
"Yeah," I agreed. Secretly, I couldn't think of anything that Vince could do to me that I didn't want him to do. I needed him to be with me. I needed him to tell me that he loved me and to give me the comfort I craved. I wanted him more than anything. Oh wait, that wasn't true. I still wanted Nikki more than anything. Nikki, the man I loved who would never care for me.
I drummed my fingers across the counter in excited. I couldn't seem to sit still. It was 5 pm, and I was already completely prepared for my date with Vince. I had invited Mick last night. He had agreed to come readily and had told me that he would try to find a date, although he thought it was unlikely he would find a girl. I didn't see why Mick was so reluctant when it came to girls. It wasn't that he wasn't good looking. Ironically, he was actually quite attractive. Maybe he was just to shy for the girls?
After I had called Mick, I had called Tommy back and had asked him to invite Nikki for me. I couldn't stand to talk to Nikki after what I had seen last night. The thought of him sleeping with that girl still pierced my heart. I wondered if his date would be the same girl from last night, or if he would have found a new play toy.
While contemplating Nikki's date for tonight, I looked down and smoothed my skirt. I had dressed in a low cut green tank and a short black skirt. I didn't want to be too fancy, and yet I wanted to look my best for Vince. Thankfully, my parents had left to go to dinner, and I had the house all to myself. Although I know my parents would have to meet Vince at some point, I decided that tonight wasn't the best night for that.
Ding dong! I jumped up from my chair at the kitchen table and rushed over to the door. I yanked the door open and was greeted by my angel. Vince stood in the doorway, giving me that charming smile. He was wearing a white tank top, a black coat with silver studs on it, and he had draped several chains around his neck. I was surprised to see that he was wearing black eyeliner. It instantly reminded me of Nikki.
"Hey sweetie," Vince greeted me, "Sorry that I'm earlier. Can I come in now? Or would you rather have me come back later?" I blinked, "Of course not! I've been waiting for you to come all day. Come on in." I stepped back from the doorway to let Vince inside. Vince peered around my living room curiously, "Whoa, this is a nice house, you've got here," he commented as I shut the door behind him, not bothering to lock it.
"Oh thanks," I replied, "but this is my parents house, not mine really. I'm just staying here until I earn enough money to move out. Although that might be a while as I still have to finish college first," I sighed dejectedly. Vince looked rather surprised, "Ah, I see. So...you're not married?"
"No, of course not," I replied to the odd question. It was kind of a strange thing to ask me. I was about to ask him why he had asked me if I was married when he asked me another question, "Are your parents home?" I shook my head, "Luckily, not. I kinda forced them out to dinner." Vince laughed softly, "What about the others? Did you invite them for tonight?"
"Yeah, I did," I replied obediently. "Tommy said he'd be there and so did Mick. I asked Tommy to call Nikki for me though, so I dunno if he's coming or not. I told them that we'd all meet at Tommy's around six or so. Was that all right?"
"Sure. Thanks for doing that babe," Vince thanked me and took a step towards me, "but until then, we still have a whole hour, right?" I nodded silently, unable to speak. I watched Vince approach me; a thrill of excitement and terror race through my body. I would have a whole hour alone with Vince. I could only wait and see what he would do with me.
"Come here, baby," Vince drawled in his one-of-a-kind voice as he wrapped his arms gently around me. Our eyes met, and in that glance, I could feel our passion for one another unite. Without further delay, Vince leaned down and gently pressed his lips onto mine. We stayed like that for a long moment, just enjoying the simple, clean kiss. After a few moments, I felt Vince run his tongue lightly over my lips as if asking for permission to enter my mouth. I opened my lips slightly and gave him access to the inside of my mouth. I slipped my tongue into his mouth as he slipped his into mine. As we kissed, I felt Vince stoke my hair with one hand and with the other hand, he pulled me closer to him so that our bodies were pressed tightly together. We kissed each other frantically; neither of us seemed to get enough of the other.
Vince scooped me up into his arms and deposited me onto our rather-large couch. I thanked God that my parents had gone out for dinner. Vince laid on top of me and pressed his lips into the side of my neck. He fingered the bottom of my tank top and whispered in my ears, "You're so beautiful, sweetie. I honestly can't resist you."
He slipped my tank top over my head in a swift moment. My heart pounded violently against my chest as my adrenaline started to race through my body. I felt Vince's hand undo the clasp of my bra and toss it to the side. Cautiously, I looked up to see what he would do next. Vince stroked my chest tenderly and moved his lips down the side of my neck. I moaned softly as he began sucking on my nipples. He was in complete control of me. I needed his love more than anything.
Creak! An ominous sound from across the room met my ears. I whipped my eyes open and stared at the door as it swung open. None other than Nikki Sixx stood in the doorway. I squeezed my eyes shut; the best day of my life had turned into a nightmare.
I didn't know what to do. My mind seemed to have frozen. I wondered what Nikki would think when he saw Vince and me. We made quite a scene with Vince straddled on top of me and me lying topless underneath him. I frantically gazed around to try to find my tank. It was lying just out of my reach on the floor. Ugh, why couldn't Vince and I gone to the bedroom? At least then I could've had a sheet to cover me up.
I peered up at Vince, unsure of what to do. He was biting his lip and I could hear him cursing under his breath. I could see him eying my shirt that was lying about three feet away from the couch. In a quick movement, Vince pulled me against him and we rolled into a sitting position. It was a bit awkward to be crammed against Vince's chest like that, but I supposed it was better for Nikki to see my naked back versus my breasts.
I dared a look over my shoulder to see what Nikki was doing. He was staring at Vince and I with a look of disgust. I sneaked a look up at Vince. I half expected him to toss me to the ground and apologize to Nikki. He met my eyes and stroked my back with the arm that was wound tightly around me.
"Did you need something Sixx?" Vince asked in a calm voice. I wondered how he could act so calmly. I could feel myself trembling in his arms. After a short paused Nikki replied, "Um...I guess not. I'll...uh...just let you guys have your privacy." Nikki steps backwards, looking uncomfortable. I turned to give Nikki one last glance. He met my eyes. In his dark black ones, I could see hurt, pain, and confusion. We both quickly broke the connection and Nikki pulled the door shut behind him, leaving Vince and me alone once more.
I took a shuddering breath and felt the world start to spin around me. Vince gave me a concerned look, "Amy? Are you all right? You look awful pale." My body was still shaking and my vision started to blur, "I...guess..." I managed to say.
"Aw, it'll be okay, baby," Vince pulled me onto his lap and began stroking my hair gently, "I'm right though, aren't I?" Vince added after a moment. I gave him a quizzical glance, unsure of what he meant. Vince saw my confusion and quickly clarified, "I meant about you and Sixx." I was still confused about what he meant, "What about me and Nikki?" I asked.
"Aren't you his ex?" Vince questioned, "it's obvious there's something between you two. The way he looks at you is just...I don't even know how to explain it. It's just odd." Everything started to spin faster and faster until I could barely make out the outline of Vince's face, "I wasn't ever Nikki's girlfriend. Our relationship is just a bit strange I guess," I explained as best as I could.
"I see," Vince answered and then leaned back to observe my face, "No offense, Amy, but you look terrible. Erm...did I do something wrong?" My mind seemed to be clouded up, I barely had energy to reply, "No, of course not. Whenever something seems to work out right for me, it always gets ruined by something." Vince nodded, "We'll do this the right way when you're feeling better. I'll take you to a hotel and then we'll have all the privacy we want," he paused, "but Amy, are you sure you're okay? You look like you're going to be sick or something." I shook my head, "No, I'm not gonna be sick. I just need to rest of a moment." Everything in my vision started swirling faster and faster until it all merged into blackness and I collapsed in Vince's arms.
I blinked and slowly sat up. Where was I? I gazed me until I recognized my bedroom. What was I doing here? What had happened? That's when I noticed a figure sitting in the chair across from the room, eying me nervously. I opened my mouth and found I now had the strength to speak, "Vince?"
Vince leapt up from the chair and came over to sit on the edge of my bed. He wiped his long blonde locks out of his eyes and took my hand, "Amy? Thank God you're awake. I was starting to think I had killed you or something!" Vince gave a short laugh and rubbed my hand gently, "How are you feeling?"
I shrugged, "I'm better now. This has happened before. I just get really tired or something I guess. I'm fine now though. So are we going to go to the movie with Tommy and Mick?" Vince gave me an apprehensive look and glanced at his watch, "Well...we could I guess. Are you sure you want to?" I shrugged, "Yeah, why not? I don't want the night to be ruined by this."
"Okay I guess," Vince answered dubiously as he stood up and offered me a hand. I gave him an inquisitive look, "Is there something wrong, Vince? You're acting like you don't want to go or something."
"It's not that I don't want to go," Vince answered as I took his hand and stepped lightly onto the ground, "What if Nikki's there though?" The thought made me freeze mid step. What if Vince was right and Nikki was there? I put my chin forward and tried to put a brave expression on my face, "We're going to have to face him at some point, right? Why don't we just get it over with?" Vince sighed, "Yeah, I guess you're right. He looked murderous though earlier. I'll protect you if he tries to corner you or anything," Vince replied, squeezing my shoulder. "You should put your shirt back on though. I'm having a hard time resisting you like that."
I looked down and remembered that I was still topless. Feeling self-conscious, I tried to cover my breasts with my arm. Vince laughed and pulled my arm away, "You don't have to do that, Ames. You're absolutely gorgeous." Vince leaned down and kissed me passionately. I felt him pull away after a few seconds and he bit my neck ever so gently.
"Okay, now get your shirt on," Vince tossed me my shirt and bra. I quickly clasped my bra back on and slid my shirt over my head. Vince took my hand, "Alright, come on then." I entwined my fingers with Vince's as we made our way out of the door and to Vince's Porsche. I looked at the car with awe, "This is yours?"
"The car you mean?" Vince asked, sliding into the driver's seat. I nodded. Vince revved up the engine as I popped into the seat next to him, "Yeah, the car's mine. I got it a while back while Rock Candy was at large. Do you like it?" I gave Vince an incredulous look, "Yeah, of course I do! I'd die for a car like this." Vince gave me a seductive smile, "Maybe someday you'll have one for your own." I met his eyes and blushed slightly.
Five minutes later, Vince and I had arrived at Tommy's and were standing right outside his door; both of us afraid to knock. Vince gave me a wary smile, "Don't you want to knock?" I returned Vince's smile and reached my hand up to the doorbell, but hesitated before actually ringing it. Vince leaned down and I felt his lips brush against my cheek, "It'll be fine, sweetie. Here, let me do it." Vince reached over and rang the doorbell. I tossed him a look of thanks.
"Come on in!" a voice called from the living room. I pulled the door open and stepped inside Tommy's familiar living room. Tommy sat on the couch, Mick and a tall girl with black hair sat next to him, and Nikki and a petite brunette sat together in the chair opposite the couch. I avoided Nikki's eye and took a reluctant step into the living room. Vince threw an arm around my shoulder and gave me a reassuring smile.
"It's great that y'all made it," Tommy said, breaking the awkward silence. "Let's see, shall we introduce the newcomers? Who are your girlfriends, boys?" Mick smiled at the ivory skinned girl next to him and took her hand, "This is Rachael. She's my neighbor actually." Rachael blushed light pink and raised her hand to everyone in greeting, "Hey. Mick's told me a lot about the band. It will be nice to get to know you all better." Rachael's voice was high pitched and soft. She and Mick made a great couple. Tommy turned to Nikki, "Who's your girl, Nikki?" Nikki forced a smile at the brunette next to him and replied, "This is Lorraine. We met at the club a few nights ago." Lorraine gave us a weak smile, but said nothing. I could see her eying Nikki nervously. Nikki was staring resolutely at the ground, making sure not to look at me.
"Couldn't find a date, Tommy?" I asked sympathetically. Tommy tried to smile, "I couldn't think of any girls that I like. I don't see the point of going on a date unless you're in love with someone." Mick and Rachael exchanged smiles whereas Nikki shifted uncomfortably, still keeping his eyes on the floor. Mick gave me a sly smile, "So it's Vince and Amy now, is it?" I turned bright red, wishing Mick hadn't pointed out the fact that Vince and I were together now. All it would do is make poor Tommy jealous and remind Nikki of earlier today.
Vince tightened his grip on my waist, "Honestly, who wouldn't want to go out with a girl like Ames?" I turned even redder and looked down at my shoes. When I looked up, I saw Tommy eying me jealously. I instantly felt guilty.
"Shall we get going then?" Mick suggested. We all nodded except for Nikki, who just shrugged. As we all headed out the door, Tommy asked, "Should we just take two cars? We can save gas that way. I dunno about you guys, but I don't have a whole lotta extra cash at the moment." Vince slapped Tommy on the back, "Just wait until we get our first album out, Tom. After that, we can go on tour and do all those things that I know you want to do. Maybe you'll meet a girl you like as well." Tommy blushed, "It's not that I don't like girls. It's just that..." Tommy trailed off, unable to finish his question. Vince raised an eyebrow curiously, waiting for Tommy to finish his sentence. Tommy gave me a nervous glance.
"Uh, who wants to ride with who?" I asked, trying to change the subject. Tommy gave me a grateful smile, "I'll ride with Mick and Rachael. Can you two ride with Lorraine and Nikki?" I sighed, trying not to let me frustration show. It would just figure that Vince and I would get stuck driving with Nikki and Lorraine. I tried to mask the disappointment in my voice, "Sure, we can ride with them." Tommy climbed into the backseat of Mick's car, "Great! We'll meet you guys at the cinema then." With that, the threesome drove off, leaving the four of us standing awkwardly in the driveway. Nikki and I avoided each other's eyes, Vince pulled me against him protectively, and Lorrained glanced between the three of us nervously. Finally, Lorrained squeaked in a soft voice, "Uh...shall we get going now?" Nikki looked over at her distractedly, "Oh, yeah. Get in the car guys." Nikki and Lorraine took the front seats while Vince and I slid into the back.
Thankfully, the cinema was only ten minutes away, so I only had to endure ten minutes in the car with Nikki. As soon as we were parked in the cinema parking lot, Nikki just about flew out of the the car. Vince smirked and rolled his eyes. I couldn't help but smile back at him. I couldn't even remember feeling so physically drawn to a guy like this before.
The four of us walked in silence into the cinema, where we met Tommy, Mick, and Rachael. Tommy handed us all tickets, "I got us tickets to 'The Bloody Kiss'. There's not much good playing right now."
"This is great!" Rachael exclaimed excitedly. Mick smiled down at her blissfully. I had never seen Mick act like this before. It was good for him to have a girlfriend though. We all tromped through the theater until we reached the right part of the theater where the movie was playing. Mick, Rachael, Tommy, Nikki, and Lorraine all headed to the front of the theater. I was about to follow then, when I felt Vince grip my arm. I turned around and glanced at him curiously.
"Let's sit in the back by ourselves, shall we?" Vince gave me a sheepish smile. I was instantly mesmerized by his gorgeous cerulean eyes, "Anything for you," I replied. Vince's smile widened and he dragged me to the back of the theater with him. Just after we had taken our seats, the theater darkened and the movie started. Perfect timing.
"Come and sit with me, baby," Vince whispered in my ear after the movie had begun. A wave of excitement pulsed through me as I sat on Vince's lap. He stroked my hair gently with a hungry expression in his eyes. I returned his gaze longingly. Vince sighed and kissed my lips, unable to control his desire. We kissed each other passionately, unaware of anything else going on in the theater. As a matter of fact, we spent the entire movie entwined in the back row of the theater making out.
When the lights in the theater flicked back on, we both jumped with surprise. I slid off of Vince's lap, suddenly aware of someone staring at me. I quickly looked towards the front row to see Nikki's eyes fastened on me and Vince with a look of reproach on his face. I frowned. What was Nikki's problem?
Vince and I walked to the front of the theater where we met the rest of the Crue. As soon as we had stepped into the hall, I felt someone clasp my wrist. I turned around curiously. Tommy was giving me a funny look, "We've gotta talk, Amy. Privately." A rock seemed to form in my stomach. What would Tommy need to talk to me alone about?
"Can Vince come too?" I asked Tommy. Tommy shot me an imploring look. I frowned, "Okay, okay, just us." Tommy cleared his throat loudly, "We'll meet you guys at the cars in a few minutes, alright?" The rest of the Crue turned around to look at us. Vince gave Tommy a suspicious expression and turned to me with a questioningly look. I nodded towards the door. Vince shrugged and followed the rest of the Crue out of the cinema. As soon as they were good, I reluctantly turned around to face Tommy, feeling as if I were meeting my doom.
Tommy took my hands in his and led me over to a darkened corner in the hallway. Once we were secluded in our little corner, Tommy turned to me with a questioning expression on his face, "Okay, Amy, what's going on? I know you and Nikki haven't been getting along well, but something was different tonight. He couldn't take his eyes off you. I swear, I can feel the tension between you two." I looked at the ground to avoid Tommy's gaze. I didn't really want to explain the whole situation to Tommy.
I felt a hand on my shoulder. I peered upwards to meet Tommy's concerned face, "Amy, I'm not trying to pry, but this is making our band fall apart. Just tell me what's going on, okay? I swear I won't tell anyone. All your secrets are safe with me." I trusted Tommy. As a matter of fact, he was the only one I trusted these days. I took a deep breath and decided to share the last couple days' events with Tommy, "Um...do you remember the other day when I came to your house in tears?" Tommy nodded and gave me a how-could-I-forget-that look. I continued, "Well, I had been over at Nikki's house. I just wanted to talk to him. He told me I could just come inside his house whenever I wanted without knocking. The lights were off and nobody responded to my knocks, so I just let myself inside his house. And...um...I found Nikki sleeping with some girl on the couch." I bit my lip and fought back tears. This shouldn't really be such a big deal to me now. I had Vince; Nikki was out of my life.
"Ouch," Tommy said sympathetically. "That would be awkward. I'm so sorry, Amy. Do you still like Nikki in the same way you used to?" I didn't really want to answer Tommy's question. I had been avoiding asking myself that question for weeks now. I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. One single droplet fell from my eye and streamed down my face.
"Please don't cry, Ames," Tommy pleaded and put an arm around me consolingly. "I wish I could make Nikki treat you right. I'd do anything for you, girl. So is this why there's all this tension between you two?"
"Um..." I hesitated, unsure of how to explain the rest of the situation to Tommy without hurting him too much. Tommy gave me an encouraging glance, "Go on." I wiped the tear from my cheek and reluctantly explained, "Vince came to pick me up tonight before the party. He came early and we had the house to ourselves so..." I paused again.
"Just spit it out, girl!" Tommy sighed, "it can't be too awful. Besides, you're driving me crazy with suspense." I managed a small smile and continued, "Anyways, Nikki came over and erm...found us on the couch." Tommy looked confused, "Um, okay? I don't see what's so terrible about that though. Do you think Nikki's jealous of you spending more time with Vince than him?" I could feel my face grow hot and I quickly added, "I didn't have my shirt on, Tommy."
Tommy's eyes widened and reliazation dawned on his face, "Ah, I see now. So you and Vince were...?" he trailed off without finishing his sentence. He didn't need to finish it, I already knew what he was going to say. I nodded to answer Tommy's unfinished question, "Yeah. Nikki sorta interrupted us." Tommy flinched, "Well, I guess that explains hostility between you and Nikki. Have either of you talked to each other alone since any of this happened?"
I gave Tommy a look of horror, "Of course not! I don't want to be alone with him anytime soon!" Tommy sighed, "Yeah, I can see why. But Amy, we're never going to get this solved unless you two get things worked out."
"I know, I know," I replied, "But I'm not talking to him, okay? I have enough problems in life to deal with right now." A silence fell between us. I could tell that Tommy was scrutinizing me, "This may sound like kinda a weird question, but did Vince hurt you at all, Amy?" I gave Tommy a have-you-lost-your-marbles look and replied, "Of course not. What would make you think that?" Tommy shrugged uncomfortably, "I dunno. He looks at you like he'd like to rip you to shreds though."
I could refrain from smiling. I wanted Vince to rip my clothes to shreds and love me. We both wanted each other; that much was clear. I remembered our makeout scene this afternoon before we were interrupted by Nikki. I loved the way Vince tenderly kissed my lips and the way he licked my breasts...
"What's so funny?" Tommy interjected into my thoughts. I quickly wiped my smile off my face and tried to replace it with a frown, "Oh, nothing." Tommy rolled his eyes at me, "You're crazy, you know that? Anyways, shall we go meet the others now? They're probably getting tired of waiting for us."
"Yeah, good idea," I replied. Tommy took my hand and the two of us marched out of the theater and found our friends' cars. Tommy gave me one last sympathetic glance before climbing into Mick's car. I scowled, remembering that I had to ride in Nikki's car. Reproachfully, I climbed into the backseat and slammed the car door shut behind me.
"There you are, baby," Vince smiled at me, "I missed you." I gave Vince a flirtatious smile, "I missed you too. So where are we going now?"
"Mick wanted to go to some restaurant nearby. Is that okay with you?" Vince asked. Personally, I didn't like restaurants one bit. Mainly because I was anorexic and pretty much hated eating. I answered Vince truthfully, "I don't mind where we go as long as I'm with you." Vince smiled and took my hand. I leaned over and kissed his neck. Vince sighed contentedly and I snuggled closer to him. I felt someone staring at us.
To my surprise, Nikki was glowering at the two of us. Honestly, I could see why Nikki was slightly upset at me, but this was going way too far. I would have to talk to him sooner or later.
Thankfully, the restaurant wasn't too far from the theater and we reached it within a few minutes. As soon as we parked, I shot out of the backseat, thankful to get away from Nikki. Vince and I entered the restaurant, leaving Nikki and Lorraine to trail before. I couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of empathy for Lorraine. Nikki hadn't talked to her once all night.
The receptionist brought us to a large table where Mick, Rachael, and Tommy were already sitting. I took a seat across from Vince at the far right of the table, trying to stay as far away from Nikki as possible. To my delight, he sat on the far left the table.
A few minutes later, the waitress came over and took our orders. Everyone ordered beer or wine. I bit my lip nervously; I didn't want our party to get too out of control. Unfortuantely, that's exactly what happened. Things took a turn for the worse about halfway through the meal. I had lost count of how many beers Vince had drank.
I had to admit that I was slightly drunk as well. My body felt jittery and full of energy. I had spent the entire meal gazing at Vince. It was easy enough to do; he was simply gorgeous. I wanted to shred his clothes and knock him onto the ground. Finally, I couldn't resist him any longer. Spontaneously, I grabbed his hand and forced my lips onto his. I could feel Vince smile under my lips. Without further delay, Vince leaned across the table and kissed me back passionately. Neither of us could get enough; one innocent kiss led to a series of intense ones. I could feel Vince's tongue exploring my mouth.
The two of us knew we were making quite a scene. Several couples were oogling at us and giving us reproachful looks, but neither of us cared. All that mattered was our affection for one another.
Suddenly, a loud voice interrupted us and brought me out of my dreamy world, "You're an asshole, Vince, you know that?" Vince and I abruptly broke apart to see who had spoken. To my surprise, it was Nikki. He was red in the face and trembling slightly. Vince gave him a sassy look, "Oh really, Sixx? Well, I think I could kick your ass." I exchanged a worried look with Tommy. Both of us knew that Nikki was very unpredictable when he was drunk.
Nikki stared at the two of us for a moment longer and then picked up a plate nearby and sent it flying at Vince across the table. I flinched and leaned back. The plate smashed right in front of us and glass went flying everywhere. I felt a sudden pain in my right hand and gave a little cry of agony. A shard of glass had embedded itself in my right palm. Vince took my hand gently and pulled the chunk out of my palm. I couldn't help but whimper softly as blood started spilling from the gash.
Vince stood up and stared daggers at Nikki, "You know what, Sixx? You're gonna pay for that one!" Vince grabbed another glass plate nearby and raised it high into the air. I tried to grab Vince's hand and pull the plate away. Luckily, before Vince could send the plate flying at Nikki, the receptionist came storming at us and ripped the plate from Vince's hand.
"Get out! All of you! NOW!" she shrieked at us in a high pitched voice. We didn't need to be told twice; all seven of us leapt to our feet and marched out of the restaurant. As soon as we were outside, Tommy grabbed Vince's wrist, "You two are going to ride with me. Nikki and Lorraine can ride with Mick." Vince scowled, "Someday I'll repay him for that."
"No, you won't," I replied firmly as the two of us slid into the backseats of the car. "We've already caused enough trouble tonight." Vince shrugged and took my injured hand, "Are you gonna be alright, Amy?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," I replied. "Hopefully the bleeding will stop in a few minutes." Vince quickly stripped off his shirt and pressed it against my palm in an attempt to stop the bleeding. I couldn't help but gaze at his chest. It was so romantic to stare at his bare chest in the moonlight.
Much too soon we pulled into Tommy's driveway. Tommy got out and called, "You two better get out now. I want you to have left before Mick gets back with Nikki. Our band just got together, I don't want it to fall apart after only a week." A guilty feeling washed over me as we transferred to Vince's car. Before we drove away, I waved to Tommy and yelled out the window, "Sorry about all this, Tom." Tommy shrugged and waved back at me with a hint of envy in his eyes.
As soon as Vince and I hit the road, I felt fatigue washing over my body. Within moments, my eyes were closed and I had fallen into a deep, untroubled sleep.
I was jerked awake a little while later by Vince's intense cursing. I blinked and tried to make out our surroundings, "Where are we, Vince?" Vince glanced over at me, "This is my house, Amy." My mind started to clear, "Oh." Instantly, excitement started pulsing through my veins. Vince had brought me back to his house; it could only mean one thing.
"Aren't we going to go in?" I asked, starting to unbuckle the seatbelt. Vince let out another stream of curses, "We can't." He motioned at the car already parked in the driveway, "I've been tortured all night and now this!" I frowned, "What do you mean by 'tortured'? You didn't like spending the night with me?" Vince rolled his eyes at me, "That's not what I meant. I meant it's been pure torture trying to resist you in public."
"Oh," I replied, unsure of what else to say. The two of us scowled at the car in the driveway, both wishing it would just disappear. I frowned, "So what are we going to do now?" Vince shrugged miserably, "I guess I'm just gonna have to bring you back to your place." A hopeful expression lit up his face, "Are your parents home?"
"Yeah, we never get any privacy at my house," I replied in a disapointed tone. Vince revved up the car and pulle out of the driveway, "Yeah, that figures."
We rode back to my house in silence. I almost fell asleep again. I couldn't help but feel irritated though. I wanted Vince to make love to me so badly, and yet, all of our opportunities were ruined. It was as if the Gods were against us.
We drove into my driveway a few minutes later. Vince and I exited the car and took a few steps before the door. Vince caught my hand as I reached towards the doorknob. I turned around to look at him. Immediately, I was in his arms and his lips were pressed on mine. Vince caressed me gently as we kissed, touching every place of my body. I moaned softly, feeling my nipples perk against his bare chest. Oh why couldn't my parents have gone out for the night?
Suddenly, a bright light flicked on inside my house and footsteps sounded from inside the doorway. Vince reluctantly relased me and lightly kissed my forehead one last time before turning and giving me a wave goodbye. I waved back and watched his car drive away into the darkened night. Little did I know how my pain my infatuation with this man was going to cause me in the days to come.
