She sighs, she despairs
The world moves around her
As she looks through empty windows
She laughs, plays
Her friends leave her when they bore
As she looks through empty windows
She grows up, gets married
Her husband leaves without a word
As she looks through empty windows
She smiles and moves on
And then her children leave
As she looks through empty windows
She waves, hiding her tears
And then, the windows leave too.
The world moves around her
As she looks through empty windows
She laughs, plays
Her friends leave her when they bore
As she looks through empty windows
She grows up, gets married
Her husband leaves without a word
As she looks through empty windows
She smiles and moves on
And then her children leave
As she looks through empty windows
She waves, hiding her tears
And then, the windows leave too.
