Poem

To allow one to take the worlds treacherous end
Is a selfish and conceited act
Unless ones own shadow is provided
Blanketing thee from the darkness

From thee comes a hero, one who shall bring light
But only if shown the light of a mothers love
Overcoming the grim black is ones own destiny
A task not taken so lightly
Unless a child is used as an instrument

The frayed cold fingers of death
Being weak against a single child’s might
Plunge back into the ebony depth
And so the torment travels with it

Once more the sky is light
The sun gleams with the shine of joy
Lest the darkness makes its reunion
But you bring melancholy to our hearts
With the arrival of one child, another passes on

To allow one to take the worlds treacherous end
Is a selfish and conceited act
Unless ones own shadow is provided
Blanketing thee from the darkness
Forming a life to save many more

Translation (For those of you who can't decipher it, or just want to read it)

Letting you take on the end
Is selfish and conceited
Unless I’m with you
And blanket you from the darkness

From you, a hero is born, one who will bring back light
But only through your love
Overcoming the darkness is your destiny
A difficult task
Unless you use the child as your instrument

Death
Being weak against the child
Falls back into the dark
And its torment falls with it

The sky is light again
The sun shines with joy
For fear that the darkness will return
But you sadden us
For with the birth of the child, you soon passed away

Letting you take on the end
Is selfish and conceited
Unless I’m with you
And blanket you from the darkness
Giving life to a child to save many more lives
