I am not going to ask for rates or reviews, if you feel like the story deserves it, by all means do so, otherwise I am just writing this story to vent.
I hope you enjoy

‘This is me. You either like it or don’t. I don’t care. But don’t piss me off.’

That was the first thing he ever said to me, and he scared the living shit out of me. But now I cant get my mind away from him.

~

It was my first day at my new job and I was nervous as anything. They didn’t have a uniform for me yet, so I had to wear business attire. I tried to match my clothes as best as I could to the Hotel’s uniform but I failed. I stood out like a black sheep in a white flock. Everyone noticed me.

I meet my trainer in the hotel lobby. She looked about the same age as me but didn’t seem to happy to see me. ‘Hi, I’m Tina. This is the first time I’ve trained someone so I don’t know what I should do now.’

I gave her a quick smirk. Oh fuck, this is all I need. She seemed like one of those chicks that I hated while in high school. She had way too much make up on and her smile was as fake as the nails on her fingers. I knew I wasn't going to like this chick.

‘I guess we should start with a tour of the place.'

Did she really just say that... this was going to be tortures.

‘Um I guess’ was all I could stutter out.

Tina started off by pointing out that we were in the lobby. No shit Sherlock. She lead me through to the two separate restaurants, the bar and happily chatted away to the staff working in both areas. I felt as though I was a little lap dog following her around. Sometimes she introduced me to people. Sometimes she forgot that I was even with her. It seemed as though she was more interested in the workplace gossip or battering her eyelids to all the male employees.

She lead me through the corridors, and showed the staff lift, followed by the staff lounge. Eventually we made it back to the reception desk where I would be posted for the length of my service here at the Hilton Airport Hotel.

I spent most of my first day listening to Tina babble on about procedures and crap, stuff I already knew, as I had work for hotels before. When she wasn’t dealing with guests she spent most of her time gossiping to the other girls working with us behind the desk. I could tell she really wasn’t happy about training me, and to be honest I couldn’t wait to get the hell away from her.

Eventually the Hotel Manager came and took me away from her boring clutches. He took me to his office and sat me down.

‘Virginia, I am Ray the General Manager of the Hilton Airport. It’s a pleasure to have you join our team.’

‘Thank you Ray, it’s a pleasure to be here.’ I started knotting my hands into each other as I was beginning to feel a little agitated sitting in the General Managers office. GM’s are usually scary guys that you want to avoid. The only relationship you want with a GM is a ‘hi’ ‘bye’ one.

‘Relax a little Virginia. I’m not going to bite. I just like to meet my new staff and learn a little bit about them.’

I exhaled and tried to get a little more comfortable in my chair. ‘So tell me a little bit about yourself.’

‘Um well I have…’

‘Ray I need you to look at this.’ I was interrupted by a guy with short black hair who stormed into Ray’s office without even knocking. ‘This is insanity, what are the res guys doing to us.’ The dude looked really worked up and pissed off. His dark eyes were fixated on Ray, this guy was on a mission.

Ray just started at the guy who had entered the room and was now standing right next to Ray’s desk, completely oblivious to the fact I was in the room. ‘Well are you going to look at this?' waving the paper in his the GM's face.

My heart started to race. If I ever did that to a GM I would have my ass kicked from here to high heaven. I closed my eyes ready for the onslaught that Ray was going to pour down over this guy.

To my shock, nothing happened. No yelling. No screaming. Nothing. He just took the now crumpled piece of paper out of the guys hand and looked it over. ‘Leave it with me, I will speak to the reservations team.’ The guy looked a little relieved and began walking out the room.

‘Uh Gerard, I would like you to meet our latest addition. This is Virginia, she will be working with you on reception.’ I pulled out my hand and raised it a little in a pathetic attempt to send him a wave. He just looked at me and said ‘This is me. You either like it or don’t. I don’t care. But don’t piss me off’ and walked out the room. If I wasn’t scared by his little fit he had when he came into Ray’s office, I was definitely scared now. I made a mental note to stay far far away from Gerard.
