Burning Away
0 reviewsThis is my teachers favorite poem that I wrote, truthfully, it's one of my least.
0Unrated
There are flames inside my mind,
burning at my thoughts,
destroying everything inside,
every lie I was ever taught.
There are flames inside my room,
burning up the floor,
curtains turning into ash,
the flames stole away the door.
I'm trapped inside my mind,
unable to think,
coming face to face with the lies
that, for years, I was forced to drink.
I'm trapped inside my room,
unable to see,
smoke so thick,
unable to breath.
Somebody help me,
I'm burning away,
inside and out,
life fades to gray.
burning at my thoughts,
destroying everything inside,
every lie I was ever taught.
There are flames inside my room,
burning up the floor,
curtains turning into ash,
the flames stole away the door.
I'm trapped inside my mind,
unable to think,
coming face to face with the lies
that, for years, I was forced to drink.
I'm trapped inside my room,
unable to see,
smoke so thick,
unable to breath.
Somebody help me,
I'm burning away,
inside and out,
life fades to gray.
