Loving Under the Influence

Hmmm...instead of a LUI. Interesting concept. And endless night of one-night-stands can lead to a messed up perspective on love.

Loving Under the Influence

The broken bottle cries at my feet,
A scene of passion through tangled sheets,
The whiskey burned my tongue from the start,
And I'm still trying to forget that part

Your sweetest kiss was poisoned desire,
It blisters my lips and then spreads like wildfire,
One taste of my addiction, and you'll wish you were sober,
I search for reason by light of burning four-leaf-clover

And please tell me that the stars are lying,
The way they fade at night has kept me crying,
I don't want my eyes to open, for I'll have a heartache to match my headache,
And I he'll dissappear as soon as I'm awake

Last night, my heart had a bit too much to drink,
My head was spinning so fast that I couldn't even think,
I should have seen this shattered bottle at the very start,
For it leaks a puddle of alchohol shaped like a broken heart

A/N: Not from personal experience, but I think this turned out alright.
