Her body found not to far from the house. It looks to be that her arm was severed from her body. Nothing from her mangled body had been taken. People never knew the name of the man who had done this. Until the police station in New Jersey received a letter on April 1, 1993.

It turns out the woman was named Samantha Maze. When the Police station received a letter after her death, saying he was very disappointed in them for not getting the letter. The police looked at the letter, thinking it was just a mess up In his writing turns out he capitalized these letters
S A M and the word MAZE spacing it out from amazed.
After the mess up from the police the Wayside murders continued at full force. Not all of the letters were written in this manner but did give hints of other kinds. Police wondered what his M.O was. The only thing in common with the women was that they were all women. They had different ages, hair color, and some married some not, some divorced. All were different. Mr. Wayside continued murders throughout the 90’s, He stopped and wrote a letter in 2000 saying:
I am taking vacation, and will be away. Perhaps when I return you will be ready to play.
You will not suspect it, but will suspect its me. But there’s a lucky lady who will be my pet you see.
Mr. Wayside
While he was away on his “vacation”, police tried to find a suspect for these murders. None of the women knew each other; they all lived in different places of the state. It was hard to pinpoint the man. No one was witness except the women who were killed.
In 2007 they stopped looking, they thought he was maybe an older and who passed away, and his “vacation” was a death. So, know one ever knew who Mr. Wayside was.”
