Reflection
Why do I see you, when I look in the glass?
Fake smile, crap hair, bad skin and dull eyes
You stop me from wanting to look as I pass
The face that tells so many lies
Every morning it's the same thing
I hate the thought of having to look
Depression continues to seep in
All the faults in every crevice and nook
Like the naïve bug to a light
My body and mind torn
It’s not something I can easily fight
And each and every time
I continue to see
Like the face on a dime
Someone else staring at me
Why do I see you, when I look in the glass?
Fake smile, crap hair, bad skin and dull eyes
You stop me from wanting to look as I pass
The face that tells so many lies
Every morning it's the same thing
I hate the thought of having to look
Depression continues to seep in
All the faults in every crevice and nook
Like the naïve bug to a light
My body and mind torn
It’s not something I can easily fight
And each and every time
I continue to see
Like the face on a dime
Someone else staring at me
