Three:
The room was once again dark. I felt more comfortable when it was dark. This was something I couldn’t really explain, but the darkness was almost like my safety net now. No one could see me in the dark, and I couldn’t see them.
I still didn’t understand what was happening to me. I didn’t understand why this man had chosen me, or how he could even care this much about what had been going on in my life. He was a complete stranger to me, but to him, I was an open book. He knew every little detail about me, details I could barely even admit to myself. He knew what I was thinking, he knew everything I was going to do before I even did it.
I pulled my now unbound arms around myself. I now had no idea about time, of how long I’d been here, how long I’d been alone; everything was a complete mystery to me. I think I had been sleeping, but I was completely unsure. I was finding it hard to distinguish what was exactly reality and what was just in my mind. I was finding it hard to remember everything that was going on. I was so disorientated. I didn’t even know where Daniel had gone, he had gone silent a long time ago.
“Nice to know you’re awake” his voice broke the silence.
“How long was I asleep for?” I asked my voice timid and soft.
“At least 9 hours, I guess, sugar, that means I wore you out good and proper” he replied, I felt the bed move slightly, as he laid down next to me. Flashes from last night hit me, if it was even last night; time had lost meaning for me. I shivered as I thought about the feel of his hands on my skin, running up my thigh, giving me goose bumps.
“Must have” I agreed. I pulled my arms tighter around myself, as if they could protect me from everything, as if they could protect me from him.
“No need to be shy sugar” he said, once again breaking the silence. “After last night, there is nothing you could possibly show me that I haven’t seen before” I could hear the slight laugh in his voice. Last night, I guess that meant that I had been here for more than a day. “And last night was so good, wasn’t it sugar?” he continued, his hands running over the outline of my body. I closed my eyes.
More of last night came back to me. It wasn’t dark; the room was flooded with light. I could make out his face and look of concentration on his face as his body loomed over mine.
I bit my lip as his hands continued to travel up my body, skimming over my skin. I didn’t know if I wanted this to happen again, but no matter how confused my mind was, my body betrayed it and responded to his touch. I didn’t know how to stop what had now begun, more to the point, I didn’t know if I wanted to.
His soft lips pressed against my neck, causing me to let out a small gasp at the unexpected new sensation. I was instantly taken back to the previous night. I could feel him biting down on my lip as he pressed his hips against me, ground himself into me. I didn’t object to it, even if my head seemed to be confused, my body responded.
I was still hazy on all the details from the previous night’s events, but as each memory slowly flooded back to me I blushed. It may have been dark in the room, but I felt on fire with my own embarrassment. I had sex with a complete stranger. My head started to pound. I didn’t know this man, yet here I was naked, and he was touching me. What was worse was the fact that I seemed to enjoy it, my body was responding to every single one of his touches. I was unsure of what to do.
A loud knock on the door caused me to jump. He instantly stopped what he was doing, got up and angrily flung the door open.
“What?” he asked venomously.
“Sorry” replied a stranger’s voice. The light hurt my eyes, causing me to blink. I couldn’t make out who was at the door, but neither of them seemed interested in me anymore. “I thought you’d want me to tell you that he’s dead” continued the stranger. “I just went to check on him”.
“I guess he was as weaker than I originally thought” he replied, his back to me. I could make out the muscles in his back; even in the weak light they were outlined. He wasn’t bulky, but he was toned, strong looking. “Our boy Daniel wasn’t as much of a man as I originally thought” he continued. Daniel, I had completely forgotten about him. His name was like a bullet.
“Get rid of him” he said, “and do it right this time” he added, slamming the door shut. I jumped at the loud noise. “Yeah you should be scared” he said to me in the darkness. I took a deep breath and wondered what else he was going to do to me.
I was now sitting up in the bed, a sheet draped over me. I looked at where the door had been moments earlier, but the room was once again dark and I couldn’t make out where he was.
“I have one rule here sugar” he whispered in my ear. I felt his hot breath against my skin, the hairs on my neck stood on end. “Do what I say or you die” he continued, “simple as that. Daniel didn’t follow my rules, so he is dead. I don’t want you to end up like him honey, at least not yet anyway”. I felt my stomach churn as he pushed hair from my neck, once again pressing his soft lips against my skin.
