TRACE'S POV

i had to be at the studio today, so i left early and i went to mall to buy something that had been running thru my mind for a while now, i walked into the store and walked up to the counter " can i help you with something" a older man replied walking out from the back,

"um ya im here to buy an engagement ring" i replied nervously, the clerk took out some rings and i looked at all them, i stopped on a perfect one i knew she would like, "that one right there is perfect" the clerk took it out placing in a a box, and handing it to me, i gave him my credit card, and while he was ringing it up i opened it up looking at it, i took a deep breath sighing, i really hope she says yes.

"here you go young man and go luck with the young lady"the clerk smiled handing me my reciept and card "thankyou"i walked out and i took off for the studio, when i got to the studio i put the box in my jacket pocket and i went inside, i heard alot of voices and looked over and i saw mikey sitting by booth, "hey man i guess were recording at the same studio today" mikey replied giving me a hug, "how long you guys been here" i looked in the booth and ray and gerard were inside.
"like 3 hours were about done just the final touches to the tracks"
"thats cool were the rest of the guys"
"out having a smoke" i nodded fidgeting with my keys,
"uh hey man when you guys finish up here, i mean if you and gerard have time can i talk to you guys"
"ya man we have time"
"alright man thanks" he nodded walking back into the booth,i looked over and i saw mason sitting by the soundboards, "hey man were have you been"
"i had to go to the mall and get something"

"the mall what the fuck was so important that you had to go to the mall today" i looked over in the booth to make sure mikey and gerard were stil inside, i reached into my pocket and took out the box "this man"i relied opening it, mason did a double take at the ring then to me "wait is that what i think it is" i nodded "ya im gonna ask elly to marry me tomrrow night after her performance"
"holy shit dude your really gonna do it"
"ya i really am gonna do it, i told you mase i loved this girl sense the day i saw her, i dont know she stole my heart, and i want to be with her forever"
"well you know i love you both, im so happy man congratulations"
"well she has to say yes first"
"oh man you know she will, have you talked to you mikey and gerard"
"nah i asked mikey if i could talk to him and gerard when there done"
"there gonna say ya man i know it"
"hopefully" i sighed sitting back, we heard the door click open and the guys came out, "finally man were done" mikey came out yawning
"its all yours boys, so you ready to go man"gerard replied grabbing his stuff, "nah trace wanted to talk to us about something"
"oh ya what about" i looked around and frank and bob had come back in," uh, can we talk outside"
"ya man" they walked out, and i looked back at mason, and he smiled crossing fingers. i closed the door, and they were both just staring at me, "so um, i wanted to ask you guys this before i did it, you both know that i love your sister with all my heart and i want to spend the rest of my life with her, and out of respect i didnt want to do this unless you two were okay with it, so um what im trying to ask is for your permission and blessing to marry your sister" they both stayed quiet and just looked at eachother, "have you asked her already"
"no mikey i wanted to ask her tomorrow night after her show" he nodded looking around for a bit, "ya you have my permission and blessing, i know how she feels about you, and i know that the love you have for her is sincere, i know you make her happy just like i know you'll take care of her for us" he smiled giving me a hug, i looked over at gerard and he hadnt said a word and he didnt have the happiest look on his face, "gerard look i know we've had our differences but you know i love your sister so much"
"ya i know you do, trace ive known you for a long time, and the truth is..."
i looked down i knew he was gonna say no " the the truth is i want her to be happy, and you make her happy, so ya you have my blessing man" i smiled sighing out of relief, "thanks man thanks to both of you, i promise im gonna take care of her, and im always gonna protect and love her"
"we know you will man" mikey smiled "well now you gotta regrow balls and ask elly" gerard laughed " ya i know fuck im nervous again"
"dont be man, look we got get going but um ill give you a call later, see what time were gonna meet up tomorrow night alright"
"okay man ill talk to you guys later" i walked back inside and i sat down sighing "so what they say" mason replied getting up, "they said ya man i cant believe it"
"well man the hard part is over"
"well elly still needs to say yes"
"dude shes gonna say yes trust me" i nodded smiling, "you ready to hit the booth"
"ya i am" we recorded for a few hours and we called it a night and we all headed home.

i walked in tossing my keys on the table and i saw elly sittin on the couch, "hey babe what are you doing up" i yawned taking my jacket and shoes off, i put my jacket way in the back of the hall closet hiding the ring.
"i wanted to wait up for you"she replied, i walked over to the couch sitting down next to her, and she snuggled into me "so how was the studio"
"it was okay, wore me out, how was the last rehearsal"she sat up and she had the the hugest smile ever, "well i got to perform in front of Green Day"
"what no way" she nodded "ya they came to see the final touches before opening night and greg the director introduced me and my partner to them"

"how was that"
"it was good man i was nervous, and they told me i have a voice to die for"
"babe you do"
"aww thanks baby" she smiled kissing me, "i cant wait til tomorrow night" she snuggled into me again, i looked down at her smiling, i couldnt wait eaither, tomorrow night was the night.
