“Hey Stacy!” A young boy called across a small coffee shop.
“Hey Carl, what’s up?” She asked as he pulled up a chair to her table and sat next to her other friend.
“Did you guys hear about what happed during the storm last week?”
The two girls looked at each other and shrugged, “Power outages? Home damage? What else is new?”
Carl smirked, “Three people died. It could have been four, but one girl got lucky.” Carl seemed a little put out by the disappointingly small number held smaller by one person.
The girls gasped, “How?” The other girl asked.
Carl was glad to reveal new information. “Well, the first two, a guy and a girl. They were crushed by a tree that fell on them. While they were having sex! On a car!”
“What? No way.” Stacy said unbelievingly.
“No, it’s true. And the third was a guy that got electrocuted. Right after he had sex,” He shoved a newspaper at her across the table opened to the obituaries. “In a bathtub.”
Stacy’s eyes were wide, “…bathtub?”
