Chapter 21- I read all my reviews and I love all of them. Bless your hearts! This story will hopefully get better. This chapter is a bit lame, but anyway. xoxoxox

Eva awoke at what felt to be about one am. She felt a warm embrace around her and noticed it was the hot flesh of Gerard Way. Eva’s mind raced slightly knowing that she had never done anything like this before. However, it was something she liked because for once she didn’t have to worry about rules. Rules that her strict parents had, rules she had to follow, rules society placed stigmas on.

Eva turned to face Gerard’s chest and she placed her cheek where his heart would be. The movement made Gerard rustle slightly and Eva closed her eyes pretending she had been asleep. She felt so lame that she wanted to laugh but knew it would ruin the moment, so she continued looking as if she was in a deep dream.

Eva tried to feel what was going on and she knew that Gerard was looking down on her. She felt him trying to move out of her grip until she felt his presence completely lift out of the bed. Eva, still pretending to be asleep, stretched. She heard him pick up what seemed to be his clothes and put them on before walking out of her bedroom. Eva wanted so badly to stop him and ask him why, but she already knew the answer. Their relationship was conflicted with fear. She held herself down on the bed and heard the front door close lightly and his car drive away.

By morning Eva awoke feeling strange. She was only wearing her bra and underwear and had never been to bed this naked before. What’s more is she could feel the missing presence on the other side of her bed which perplexed her even more. Having a double meant that Eva liked to take over the whole thing, but last night Eva didn’t actually mind sharing her bed.
She put on her pyjamas before getting out of bed. She walked into the empty kitchen and then walked around the lifeless house before deciding on breakfast. There was a knock on the door and Eva bolted to answer it but then stopped in her tracks to make it look like she wasn’t desperate.

It was not Gerard. In fact, it was a man she felt she knew but had never seen before. He had unruly hair and a dark face. Eva smiled.

“Hello,” he exclaimed his voice husky. “I am your neighbour from next door. Do you mind if I come in?”

“No, of course not!” said Eva wishing she was stronger and didn’t let him. She didn’t even know him from a bar of soap but the vibe he gave was like he knew Eva. “Sorry, I’m in my pyjamas.”

Eva sat him down and went inside to make coffee after taking his preference of sugar and milk.

She brought out some muffins and eventually resided to sitting down facing him. She felt awkward in her pyjamas staring at this man she had never seen.

“This may seem strange,” he said. Eva simply glared politely. “I want to talk to you about Gerard Way.”

“Ok,” was all Eva said.

“Not the answer I was expecting,” he said slightly taken off guard.

“What were you expecting, Mr...?” quizzed Eva.

“People call me Sam,” he said. “Well, I expected you to deny you had any affiliation with him and argue about my nosy business.”

“Well, I am a nosy person myself Sam,” began Eva. “Plus, I haven’t not denied my affiliation with him, so I stand clear at this present time.” She smiled and laughed.

“Do you find it strange that he is here?” he asked. Eva began to notice the symbol tattooed on his arm which seemed very paranormal.

“I find a lot of things strange about it,” said Eva. “The first being I used to ask people what they would do if it actually happened and now it did.” She was so open and honest to this man and it felt somehow relieving.

“I thought you would,” he said. “The skies are playing tricks these days Eva.”

“I am sorry Sam,” said Eva perplexed having said that stamen to herself once before. “Explain what you mean and how you know me.”

“I apologise Eva,” he said. “I am merely your neighbour and I study ancient ruins and their meaning. I also study the stars. It may be hard to believe in a world of pure reality, but you are very attached to that of unreality and therefore your head is always in the stars. I just wanted to meet the girl who made her wish come true. I just wanted to ask how.”

Eva’s face looked puzzled but she was really just curious.

“I respect what you are saying, but I can’t answer that. I just feel as if I have changed as a person ever since it has happened. I am angrier, crazier, and at one stage I think I even cried so hard in my backyard during a full moon!” she said.

“Understandable,” he remarked. “I am sure it is just a coincidence. A very strange, coincidence. Good day Eva.”

He got out of his chair and walked for the door.

“Wait,” said Eva. “What are you hiding from me?”

“Nothing,” he said turning back. “Just watch out. Sometimes things are just not meant to be in this universe and they may seem filled with fear. Maybe the fear might disappear in another universe.”

“Are you saying that I shouldn’t interfere with Gerard?” asked Eva desperately.

“No, I am saying don’t be disappointed if they don’t work out. Things are set in stone Eva, and when ‘coincidences’ like yours happen its best to let them be no matter how drawn you are to the circumstance. Remember, in this universe what you are Gerard are up too is not morally right,” he said as he stepped out the door leaving Eva puzzled beyond understanding.

Eva thought about Sam all day. He had a point. If Eva was reading a story about what was happening she would question why it happened, it was just in her nature. She had always felt so drawn to Gerard even when she hadn’t met him but her mother and everyone else just excused it as obsession. The last words Sam said made Eva tingle. “In this universe what you and Gerard are doing is morally not right.” It was true. That was the fear that always held them back. Gerard was an older man who taught Eva and happened to have a wife and family back in the USA. Things were strange but Eva did not want to let herself believe that there were such things as other universes and that it was not meant to be with her and Gerard in this universe. Eva decided that Sam was probably just very hurt about something in his life and was looking for an answer to everything- something she used to do a short time ago.

At about five Eva decided to get dressed out of her pyjamas into some clothes. Liza had text her letting her know she had just gotten her license and was coming over to pick her up. Overtime Eva had forgiven Liza for her behaviour deciding that she would be a good friend if she wasn’t so messed up.

When Liza came Eva ran out her front gate and into Liza’s small car.

“Where to?” asked Liza.

“You’re the driver!” said Eva excitedly forgetting about Sam for the first time in the day.

“Ok, we’ll go and get food and then we’ll drive around and see where the road takes us,” she said.

The girls laughed all the way to a Chinese place and ordered some of their favourite meals take away. They then sat in the car eating away staring at the cars go past.

“GET DOWN!” hissed Liza who lunged down.

“What? WHY?” said Eva who also lowered her fork flying at the back of the car.

“It’s Mr. Way,” said Liza.

“Are you serious?’ said Eva saying her thoughts out loud. “Why are we hiding?”

“I don’t know,” said Liza.

“Ok, let’s continue hiding,” exclaimed Eva.

“This is so weird,” said Liza.

“I know,” said Eva.

“He’s coming out of the store,” said Liza peeking through her back window at Gerard who was holding a fair amount of plastic bags filled with food. He hopped into his car and Liza got up put her seatbelt on and turned on the ignition.

“We are following him,” she said.

“What?” said Eva scared. “No.” A lot of things were running through her head. What if they followed Gerard and he led them straight to Eva’s house because he was coming to 'visit'? What if he led them somewhere else that Eva didn't want to see?

“Come on,” said Liza. Eva nodded reluctantly knowing that Liza would do it no matter what.

It had darkened now and following Gerard was very difficult because they were trying not to be inconspicuous.

“Put this around your head,” said Eva handing Liza a hat she found in the back. “Tie your hair up so he doesn’t see it and wear these shades.” Eva tied her hair up aswell and put on a bandanna she found in the back with some shades also.

“We look ridiculous,” laughed Liza both hands back on the sterring wheel.

Thankfully Gerard did not head in the direction of Eva’s house but straight to their school. The girls looked at each other confused as he drove into the empty school car park. Liza parked the car around the corner from the school but still in sight so they could see Gerard’s outline.

About two hours had passed and Eva and Liza were bored mindless. It wasn’t until they were about to give up when they saw what seemed to be Gerard’s silhouette getting into his car. They saw his car drive out of the car park and his car turned towards them. Their hearts dropped as his headlight shone in the direction of their windscreen, but his car kept driving. They held onto their chests with relief but then realised that there was another silhouette coming out of the school. The silhouette ran across the road and into a house directly across from the school. The house belonged to Michaela.

The girls turned to face each other and gasped.

“That bastard!” said Eva.

“That slut!” said Liza.

Tap Tap Tap.

Liza and Eva’s hearts missed a beat. They turned to face Liza’s side of the window and saw that Gerard was stadnign outside staring in. His car was parked behind them and they hadn't even noticed him turn around to do so.

“DRIVE!” screamed Eva her pathetic disguise making her feel pitiless and embarrassed.

Liza turned on the ignition and pressed the accelerator at full speed leaving Gerard on the road.

“You can never drive this car to school again,” said Eva anxiously holding onto her chest.

“We can never go to school again!” screamed Liza.

“Do you think he knew it was us?” said Eva hopefully.

“What do you think?” said Liza.

“I think we’re dead.”
