Carolyn

I half-groaned, the thin silver metal that bound my ankles and wrist was burning my skin. I had a thin rag stuffed between my mouth and tightened at the back of my head, causing unnecessary amounts of pressure. Pete Wentz and his stupid fucking hunters, which in my world only translated into two words; 'buzz kill'. My head was pounding and I was cruising low. The bright lights were hurting my all too sensitive eyes. I looked to my side, Natalie was still unconscious. Her full chapped lips were quivering lightly, her head hanging. I turned to my other side, Eddi was looking straight forward. I could make out her pale face behind the curtain of her dark hair. I could hear the creaking of a door, my eyes falling on the farthest end of the room, Pete stalking in. He smiled in our direction, his fangs catching rays of light. They would never be filed down enough.
"Ah, as if it isn't Gabe's little whores. Eddi, Caro, too bad Natalie's still asleep. Id thought she'd enjoy my little monologue" he said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Now, I do feel bad, for you girls, paying the price for Saporta, but, if you don't tell me where he's at, someone may get hurt" Pete said, and with one fluid motion, he was holding a knife in his hands. He walked over to my side, and pressed the blade to the side of my cheek. I didn't move.
"So Eddi, why don't you just tell me where Gabe's at, and I won't have to scar Carolyn" he said, softly. His voice was so warm. Eddi turned her head, finally meeting my eyes with her own dangerously blue ones. I shook my head no, feeling the blade dig a little past the gag and into my skin. I ignored the pressure, the feeling of a thick liquid spread, because the cocaine still had me a bit strung out.
"Eddi" he asked, the heavy persuasion in his voice. He slice through the gag, dragging the knife across the side of my face. The raggedy material fell to the floor.
"Bitch" I growled, in his direction. I heard a sigh, from somewhere behind me.
"Bad girl" he snapped, and dug the cool tip deeper into the skin of my cheek. I tried relaxing my jaw, but the pain was spreading. Natalie whimpered, returning from a wave of drug induced sleep. I turned my head, forgetting momentarily the blade, that only ripped deeper. I yelped. Pete chuckled.
"Look, apparently, you girls don't want to cooperate, but eventually, you'll get hungry, and your pretty face won't take many more gashes, and once im done with you, ill move on to Eddi, and then Natalie, and you see, no one wins there" he shrugged. He walked beside me, and I spat in his direction. He turned around, taking my face, and cupping it between his fingers. His dirty nails dug into the wound and I squirmed.
"Stupid bitch, I should kill you right now" he growled, then, leaning in a little close, he ran his tongue across the length of my face. I winced away, turning my face.
"Fuck you" I muttered. He laughed.
"One more word and ill cut your tongue out, okay" he said, then he turned, dragging his feet out of the room. I hung my head, breathing deeply. Gabe would come for us. He always did. We couldn't turn him in. I felt life slip and fade, crash course into the darkness.

The smell of human blood made the air damp, it made my throat tighten. My eyes fought to open, only to be whitewashed by the bright lights. A weak whimper left my lips. The drugs had left my system, evaporating as quick as the snorts we took. My mouth hurt, and my wrist hurt. I found the eyes of one of the hunters, who was watching us so carefully. He had terribly frizzy brown hair, and glasses. He was shirtless, and his pale body was covered in tattoos. He had heavy facial hair and a piercing beneath his lip.
"Hey" he choked out. I could smell his fear, mixing with the curiosity on his skin. His blue eyes held mine, for a split second.
"Hi" I smiled, wincing slightly from the growing pain in my face. I could smell the blood within him, clean and warm, rushing through his veins.
"Are you okay" he asked. Was he genuinely concerned?
"Im fine" I said.
"I've never met one of your kind. I mean, I do the geek research and Pete and Joe and Patrick usually get the vampires. I've never met one... alive" he said, softly.
"What's your name" I asked.
"Andy" he said.
"Well Andy, you can study me whenever you'd like" I said, my voice growing lower. His blue eyes held mine, as he tried to fight the warm blushing crawling up his cheeks. I licked my lips. I had to focus, if I wanted him to let go of me.
"That wouldn't make Pete very happy" he frowned.
"Come here" I called, and he obeyed, dragging his feet closer to me.
"Now Andy, unbind my wrist" I ordered, he leaned over me, his neck pressing into my nose. I could feel my fangs, budging against my lips. I ran my tongue across the warm skin of his neck. I tilted my head and buried my teeth into his skin. I could feel the mixture of realization and fear wash across his body.I could taste the warm blood filling my insides, so clean and metallic. He pushed off, and I could feel my teeth dragging across his skin. He met my eyes, his blue ones now icy. He rolled his eyes.
"Im not that stupid" he growled, his eyes leaving mine. I felt the slight twinge of thirst for his blood, but I was still tied up and every second he was farther. The door slammed and I sighed, at least my face no longer hurt.
