No, he won't go "vigilante", but he'll just help someone who is inclined that way. Besides, he's got other ways of making himself useful and dealing with criminals. I did rather love the introduction to Dr. Thomas Wayne and I'm looking forward to seeing how Alfred gets hired and observing him set a new standard for his profession.
